In baseball when did players stop leaving their gloves at their positions for the other team to use?
Question:In old baseball movies, Pride of the Yankees comes to mind, you would see players leave their gloves at their position for the other team to use. When did this rule or practise change?

I have seen many teams and players "pick each other up". If you don't maybe it is a personal issue with that player. Take a-rod, for that much money he should be picking up every player on the field, every inning. But I in general would say no, I don't think the courtesy is dead.well thats somethign new to me. I think you are slightly confused. Only the outfielders would leave their gloves and they were not shared with the other team. I don't know when this practice ended, but I've heard that players began spitting on the gloves left in the field and that was pretty much the end of that practice.I don't have a clue
