I do believe that Alex Rodriguez, is at least the Best non steroid player in the game. And hopefully will eventually take the all time home run record from Barry.

I'd go with A-Rod as a slight edge over Albert. As hitters they are fairly equal in my eyes (compare A-Rod's start with Albert's last year) but A-Rod takes it because of his big advantage in the speed department. A-rod could be 50-50 guy if he wanted to, but Albert would be lucky to get 20 steals. Defensively Albert is the clear winner, but its hard to compare them because of the different positions. A-Rod is average at best as 3B but he was a gold glover at SS, so there is no reason to think he wouldn't still be good if he was still playing there. I don't think any other player is even in the conversation with these two either because of poor defense (Bonds, Manny, etc.) or lack of a proven track record (Reyes, Howard, etc.)

First of all, steroids do not make you hit home runs. They make you stronger faster but do not increase the technique. To hit the ball takes hand-eye coordination, great technique, and focus/concentration. So all of the people who say Barry Bonds has hit his home runs because of steroids do not know squat about baseball. Back to point. I believe that the best player in baseball today is Miguel Cabrera. He has a batting average of over 3.50 and has about 7 home runs with numerous runs batted in (RBI's). He plays on the Florida Marlins if you want to check him out.
