Will the Colorado Rockies ever be a great team in the next 5 years with their young and up-coming talent?

What are the ballparks Sammy Sosa has hit a homerun?
Honestly, no. I live in Denver and every year we think we have a great team. Heck, the Rockies have had players like Dante Bichette, Larry Walker, Todd Helton (still), Mark Kingery, Vinny Castilla, Darryl Kile, Mike Hampton, the list goes on and on. Yet they still can never make the playoffs (I think they made it once only to lose 3-1 in the first series). Sure they have youth, but they can never seem to win even with talent. It will take the Rockies probably a couple of decades to turn their franchise aroundno without changing cities that atmosphere makes the game into playstation it's hell to play there.
Is it an error for a fielder to drop a foul ball if the batter never reaches base?
Great Team no. It's gonna take some Free Agents to be a Great Team. However Wild Card Team, or Division Winner I can see. Too much talent to float around in the basement forever. What is Derek Jeter's career record against Tim Wakefield? Thank you.?
My friend used to play for them and he was telling me about the players and in the next 5 years they have a huge chance and im a big giants fan. I dont know if hescalled up yet but they have this first baseman who can just mash the ball but they dont call him up because of todd heltonTwins or Red Sox? Who's going to win today?
It`s possible if they can get the pitching. Now that they keep the baseballs in a humidor, they don`t fly out of the park like they used to, so they may get some good pitchers to come there through free agency.Worlds fastest baseball pitch?
It's definately a possibility. With Holliday and Atkins, they have two cornerstones on offense to build around. Hawpe provides pop, Ianetta could become a productive catcher, and Tulowitski could develop into an all-star. In the minors, they also have Ian Stewart, and when Helton departs, (probably after this season,) Either Stewart or Atkins will play 1st, and the other will play 3rd. As for the pitching, Jason Hirsh might have the makings of an ace, and Jeff Francis still has room to grow. With the other teams in the NL west aging rapidly, its respectible to suggest the Rockies could win the division within the next few years.I know tons of people hate Barry Bonds, but does anyone out there actually like the guy?
No, top picks for years don't automatically make a good team, it's who you pick. They have about 10 guys that could be stars they are the following: Troy Tulowitzki, Jason Hirsh, Chris Iannetta, Ian Stewart, Ubaldo Jimenez, Dexter Fowler, Franklin Morales, Greg Reynolds, Jonathan Herrera, & Jeff Baker.I think that they have a chance to be a really good team. The atmosphere is rough but hey that is their homefield and they should be used to it. The pitchers will probably always have a little ERA but the batters need to step up and claim the homefield advantage to make sure that the opposing pitchers ERA is higher at Coors Field than the home teams.
They have a lot of young talent that can step up and take that challenge.
Lose of African American player's in Baseball?
i don't think so, because they have too little pitching, even though they have some impressive prospects, and no one wants to pitch for them because they're in that high altitude where the ball just flies out...they'll always have a hard time getting enough pitching to win consistently, simply because of their locationMore Questions & Answers...
