2 & 3. Here is where you have the logjam with Johnson, Richie Weeks, Marcus Giles, Orlando Hudson, Ray Durham, Brandon Phillips and Jeff Kent.
Johnson and Giles are off to the hottest starts, but given the list of quality names trailing just a little bit behind and the fact that coaches tend to award all-star appearances based on what you did the year before, I would say that Johnson misses out this year unless he keeps going at such an incredible clip that he can't be denied.

most likely not this year since no one knows about him, but perhaps his name will be heard throughout the majors in the coming years. its too early to speculate being only one month into the season though he has put up great numbers hitting leadoff for the braves: .437 OBP, .326 BA, .991 Fielding %if he continues to play like that he should be a reserve in my opinion. too bad he won't get the votes...

I wouldn't rule it out. He likely won't start because he isn't well-known, so he won't get the fan vote, but have you seen this kid's OBP? He's one of the better leadoff hitters in the game right now. If he keeps it up, I can see him making the NL All-Star team as a reserve player.Does anyone know where Curt Schilling's blog is?
