What was with the Black stripe on the YANKS uniforms left arm??
With the wind blowing out in Wrigley Field in any given day, Pinella's tendency to give a green light to basestealers, and with Aramis Ramires and D Lee batting behind him, the sky's the limit for Soriano. You can write in stone 120 runs, 40+ HRs, 90 RBIs and 40+ SBs this year for him.
Mets fans? Have you forgiven...?
Soriano will do good. If you watch him, he seems to be a superstar; however, his stats are not superstar caliber. Stats don't always make the player. He is an above average player and will provide consistency and accountability when needed.Soriano is a very gifted offensive ball player. His flaw though, would have to be his defense. There's no doubt that he can hit for power. There's no doubt that he is fast. There's no doubt that he's got muscle considering he uses one of the heaviest bats. He's clearly one of the best ball players in the game today, but for him to take it to the next level, he's got to become better defensively. He never was that great as an infielder and I'm not going to knock on him for his play as an outfielder since he just learned it last year with the Nationals. He also has to be smarter at the plate. His strikeouts are just way too high and he has to learn to work the count and try to get more base on balls. I think once he improves his defense and his approach at the plate, he can very well be one of the best, if not the best in the game today.
Whata with the Japanese and pitching?
If Pinella gives him the green light I think he'll be the first 50-50 player, 50 homeruns and 50 stolen bases.More Questions & Answers...
