Question:Ok I read on the Giants website that Russ Ortiz is going on the 15-day disabled list and Kevin Frandsen got called up to take his roster spot. I also read that AAA pitcher Tim Lincecum will probably come up and pitch on Sunday. How does this work because there would be no more roster spots available for him?

frandsen is only to be on the giants for 3 days. they wanted to bring up him for 3 days and then send him down and have tim up on sunday.

if they brought up tim today...he'll be doing nothing till sunday annways, so it was better for them to bring up someone for 3 days that can play.
