Make a case for Joe Nathan NOT being the best reliever in baseball.?

I've never been but I'd love to go for that very reason. I love people watching and soaking up atmosphere. My husband took me to a NHRA event and I had so much fun. Couldn't tell you much about the cars except they were really, really, loud. It was fun because it was something I'd never done before. Also, you would not believe all the people watching there is to do there! Ok, maybe you can imagine... Picture a 65 year old lady with leather-tanned skin in a tube top covered with various tattoos smoking a cigar. Whoa. Funny stuff. But you know what? Those are the people who would help you out if your car battery was dead - not some snob in a BMW.

Cool team nicknames for a girls fastpitch softball team?

I like to go to "people-watch" a lot more than I like the game itself! I don't go to professional sports games much at all, but certainly the people at most of them are at least as interesting as what's going on between the teams :-)

What Baseball Player has the coolest name of all time?

I do! Love the whole atmosphere! People enjpying the day together, the hot dogs, doing the "wave",& singing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game!" :)

What is the best event(s) that has happened in baseball this month?

Can I answer - Yes? LOL. It depends on the mood I am in. I live in a town that has the AA Farm Team of the Detroit Tigers, and have had the pleasure of seeing quite a few talented players over the last few years (including quite a few members of the AL Champs when they played here), and the would be scout in me loves to read about a player and then see that player in person to see if I can see why they are so good. (And its fun to point to Player X and think, "yeah I saw him in person.")

On the other hand there are few things better then going to a ball game - the fresh air, the sunshine, the people milling about. I have had some great conversations with people at baseball games (I am thinking now about the sweetest little old man i sat next to one Sunday afternoon who was telling me about all of his health issues in between innings), and sometimes I will just go to get away from the normal routine of life, sit back, relax, have a hotdog and a cold drink and watch the rest of the world go by for three hours. Its actually helped me sort thru things that I would not have been able to think about otherwise.

Can you win a baseball game on one pitch?

I guess as a fan of the game I get the best of both worlds.

What are the Cardinals' and Cubs' owners names?

Any idea what (if anything) a signed A-Rod ball from when he played in the Minors would be worth?

Let me put is this way.

In June 1993, I was at the game in which Dick Schofield broke his arm. In fact, I was sitting just barely past the infield, on the the third/left side, and about 10 or so rows up. I had a very good view of the left side of the infield, and I saw him break his arm. That's a part of the game, too. An unfortunate part, an ugly part, but a part.

In that same game, though, in the row in front of me, and a couple of seats down, there was a girl of about 10 or 11. As soon as the game ended, she threw her arms around the man sitting beside, gave him a big kiss, and said, "Thank you, Daddy, for bringing me to the ball game." That's the experience.

I go for both. You can't separate the experience from the game itself.

Fantasy Baseball trade?

It's all about Beer, Hot Dogs and Pretzels!!

Getcha' Cold Beea Hea!

White socks?

Sometimes I like to go for the experience and sometimes for the game. It depends on the atmosphere, who I'm with, who's playing, and where. There's so much more to going to a game than the actual game but I usually pay at least pretty close attention to the game.
