Question:The Yankees pitching staff is struggling, with most of their starters hardly making it past the 5th inning. Do you think that there is a trade imminent for the Yankees to get anybody to help them out with their pitching problem. Hughes is supposed to make his Yankee debut, but he might now be enough. So who do you think the Yankees would trade with and why? What players would they target?

They certainly do need some starting pitching help right now however most of their injuries are minor and they will be getting most of their staff back soon. Mussina and Wang will be back this week and next week and who knows with Pavano, he is a baby.Most likely they will hold off on making any trades with the hope that they will be able to sign Roger Clemens for the second half of the season.
Look no further than the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of Orange County of Southern California... They are the exact opposite as the Yankees. The Angels have absolutely zero offense outside Vlade, with plenty of pitching to spare. The Yanks have zero pitching with plenty of bats to give up. Ervin Santana is a candidate, though if I were the Angels, I'd be seriously thinking about seeing what they could get for Jared Weaver. Chone Figgins could also be used as bait. Steinbrenner loves his versatility.
Arte Moreno promised to bring in a big bat this past off-season. I'm sorry, but Gary Matthews, Jr. and Shea Hillenbrand are not big bats. They barely pass as medium bats. Fans are getting mighty impatient.

no trade. Who can you trade? The only guy with a team friendly contract is Cano, and they wouldn't trade him for anything. Can't deal Hughes...that's your future. Clemens is an option only because he costs you $$$, not prospects.More Questions & Answers...
