What league is better to watch the N.L or the A.L?

Question:I say the N.L. The A.L is like Playstation.

Who is the best pitcher in the AL under 25?

I like the National League because there is no DH. The DH takes so much away from the game. Late inning strategy where the manager has to earn his pay.

The DH has created the "One Dimensional Player" which has devalued the game to a concern degree. The notion that a DH should be considered for league MVP is simply ludicrous. The game was meant to be played both offensively and defensively....Period!

I think of the great home run hitters in the history of the game like Mickey Mantle, Mike Schmidt, Willie Mays and others, all members of the 500 home run club who played the game the way it was originally designed to be played and without the aid of the DH rule.

Even Hank Aaron, Reggie Jackson, and several others, can contribute some of his later home runs to the DH. Home runs that, by right, they would never have gotten if they played their entire careers in the NL. Note that when Hank Aaron finished his career with the Brewers they were still an American League team.

Jason Giambi probably wouldn't be in baseball by now if not for the DH.

"PlayStation" I'm not quite sure what that means but I'm thinking the DH plays a large part in you choice of words. Forgetting for the moment that the Yankees and Red Sox are part of the AL, I think both leagues have a lot to offer. At the very least the Yankees have proved that since 2003, (their last pennant winning season) that "Money Can't Buy Them Love." (A little play on the Beatles "Can't Buy Me Love")

Does anyone besides me think that The Cubs have a ...?

NL padres

Where is your favorite place to sit at the baseball park ?

Well that's easy for you to say as a Dodgers fan, most people just enjoy watching whatever league their team is in. But it's fun to try to watch the pitchers hit in the N.L.

What are the jays chances now tha ryan is gone for the year?"?

The NL is better. Baseball is not an action game - how many hits per game does the DH add? I would guess about 1 max - if DH's average 300 (which I doubt) and pitchers average .050 (their probably quite a bit better than that), the difference would be .250, which is 1 for 4. In the National League there is much more strategy to the game - and since I think we'd all agree that it's not an action filled game to start with - I'd gladly give up one hit per game for the extra strategy.

Think about it - Joe Torre was a mediocre manager at best with the Mets, Braves, Cards - but with the Yankees he's a genius (well he was a few years ago). I think he really did get better over time, but the point is it's just easier to manage in the AL.

Who hold American League record for the most r.b.i's in a season and how many was it?

The N.L. because it has old traditions that the A.L. doesn't like having pitchers bat, which allows batters to have an advantage cause the manager might take out a pitcher and then the batter wont have to face him anymore and because the N.L is an older league than the A.L

Is softball a stupid sport?

You guys are dumb, A.L. Look at all star games, interleague play. World Series winners over the last ten years or so.

What do you think is the best pitch you can throw in any count?

the N.L is better because the games are much closer. as u noticed in the interleauge games there was only like maybe 8 games that was decided by 3 runs or less. when it is n.l. vs. n.l there are a lot of saves and a lot of close games

Who hit 2 grnadslams in one inning?

Well, in the NL, it's usually a pitching duel. The AL is basically like homerun derby. Since I'm a Sox fan I watch the AL a lot, so I'm going to have to say the NL. There is way more strategy involved

What is going on with the Yankees?

My favorite team is A.L. (Yanks.) But I like N.L. too. It has all the classic traditions. (Cause it's been around longer. I think N.L. was like 190-something and A.L. was like 1920? I'm probably waaaaaaay off.) And has a LOT more teams. Plus, I find it VERY fun to watch pitchers try to hite.
Ha ha.
Yankees Love.

On sun Red Sox played the Braves why did the Sox wear red jerseys? Also, did the AL league pitchers have to bat

The AL hands down is the best. You don't have to watch pitchers that are being paid millions trying to hit the ball. Also the AL has better pitchers and hitters. Maybe the reason the pitchers are so good is that they don't have to worry about trying to swing a bat which that is not what they're paid to do anyways.

Who's the bigger Yankee fan? Brady or Ortiz?

The A.L. all the time. The N.L. can't compare.
