How can baseball get better without a salary cap and revenue sharing?
Question:the reason i don't want revenue sharing or a salary cap is because i want teams to hold onto to their home grown product. if you look before their was revenue sharing and a treshold tax the marlins won a championship 1997, the cleveland indians were world series contenders for many years. the reds won it all in 1990 the a's were wining in the late 1980's the twins won in 1991 and 1986 the angels won in 2002 when they were the anehim angels and had a low payroll. the toront blue jays won in 1992 and 1993 and their payroll wasn't the highest. my point is teams even in smaller markets could compete, the only reason they didn't is they had a bad general manager or a bad farm system.

How bad are the red sox going to lose in the playoffs this year?
what i think should happen is players get paid on performance, every one gets a base salary i.e.,500,000 a year, they should get paid BIG on batting ave,hits,r.b.i.s,home runs, ect.also get a fat bonus when your team gets to the playoffs and playoff performance, that way a good player will want to play for a team that really wants to win a championship as a team, not go to the highest bidder that way teams can earn a championship, not buy one like the yankees always TRY to doWill the Cubs win the World Series by the time they reach 100 years without winning one?
Play hard and smart. Then deal with your agent to raise it up the price.More Questions & Answers...
