Why should big market teams share their money?
Question:why should big market teams share their money, when their fans pay for high ticket prices always come to the game, put pressure on management to put a good product on the field. while small market teams fans don't show up for the games using they don't have a big enough payroll has an excuse. revenue sharing they have right now is enough they can now afford to keep 3-4 great players for a couple of years longer enough to make a run at the world series if they have a good general manager and farm system. But if the large market teams want to sign alot of good players they should be able to, they are the one that have the fans that suports them and pay big prices in tickets and merchindise which some portion of it go to small market teams. Those are the fans that deserve a good team.

In Baseball what is the difference between a "hitters ballpark" and a "pitchers ballpark"?
this is hard to answer but i think it has its + and - i am a KC Royal's fan and we dont have quite enough people to fill the stadium yet the yankees have a million more people at their games. one of the reasons why the yankees are so good is because they have all the money. they have like 5x more than the royals which in a way is unfair. i think its good for competition but not good for the fans. i think there should just be a cap on team spending.....but thats my honest oppinion......god blessWhat you have to look at is the fanbase. If you have a team that can't afford a large payroll then they're going to be less competetive and the fans are going to be less willing to go to the games. Face it if you go to your local (favorite) team's game and they lose why do you want to go, why even watch the game. You want to see them win. It's a lot like the salary cap in football in that it keeps all of the teams atleast somewhat competetive with one another.
The other side of this is that if you don't make efforts to keep all of the teams competetive then you end up with just a few teams that are dominating the sport. Why do you think there's only two trains of thought with the Yankees: people love them or hate them, there's little in the middle. If you only have a few high caliber teams in the entire league then it hurts the entire sport. Viewership/attendence drops everywhere and then you end up with a dying sport.
