Do any other fans leave games as early as the Giants?
Question:Every time I go to Giants games the fans seem to leave around the 5th inning, even in close games. I went to a game last week and my section went from packed to 12 people by the 8th inning (honestly, I counted) ...The A's may draw less fans and have a real crappy stadium but the fans seem much more into the game and stick around to the end. What about other teams?

Any one else think MLB players are too babied nowadays?
Yeah, I've lived in the Bay Area all my life, baseball fan since 1980. I have to hope that there are no other teams that are as bad as the Giants fans. They have a beautiful park, only a few years old, and they already have plenty of open seats at every game. So sad.But it's not the "Bay Area" fans. look at the Sharks. They sold out for several years in a row, and that included some not-so-pretty seasons too. Like you said, the A's draw way less, with the rickety stadium and all, but they/we truly do stay til the end. Can't wait to see that new stadium pop up in Fremont though! It'll be only a few miles from me! Now if they could only fix the Nimitz Freeway there... but that's another discussion all together.

I've lived in the bay area my whole life and I've never understood why this happens. They are cowards.Devil Rays fans -- they leave before the game even starts. Heck, they don't even buy tickets.

Can anyone remember the game where the Cleveland Indians had an incredible comeback win?
Ever since they built the new stadium I think it became more trendy to go to games rather then real fans that would brave candlestick.. I grew up in the bay and never liked the giants I'm an A's fan(the A's fans are better about sticking it out I think).. But I moved to LA and if the A's move to Fremont I'm becoming an all out Dodger fan. Dodger fans don't leave the games early from what I've seen, neither do Braves fans when I went to game in Atlanta.I'M CALLING OUT TEXAS RANGERS FANS! Rangers' fans are TERRIBLE about leaving early - looking at the team's record though, it's easy to understand why; but that's no excuse for quitting on your team (even if they appear to quit on themselves). When the Rangers are on fire, there's not an empty seat in the house. When they're down by 5 runs in the 6th inning the park looks like a sinking ship with all of the rats jumping overboard. What a bunch of shameless cowards! I was at the opening game for the Rangers' - Yankees series on Tues. when Hughs took the no-hitter late into the game. What a disgusting display of fair-weather fanship. It's bad enough that there were all of these supposed Yankees fans outnumbering Rangers fans in our own park, but when the few "die-hard" Rangers fans that did show up leave half way through the game it makes it hard for the home team to care about rallying back and winning. I was there with my rally cap on cheering all the way through the last pitch of the 9th. Too bad it didn't work. I may have looked like an idiot but nobody was left in my section except my friends who had come with me and they were just as drunk and goofy looking as I was! And at least we were there supporting our team to the bitter end! HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME, RANGERS FANS!
Who hold the MLB record for career home runs?
no giants just suck!!Are you sure you are at a Giants game, I go to a lot of Giants games, and no one leave until the game is over!!
I been to a few Dodgers games in L.A. and they come in the 3th inning and leave in the 5th or 6th inning!
*Where do you get slider for softball*?
Yup, in Florida they don't show up at all.seriously though, it happens a lot where I live in KC too. I think a lot of this is the product of games getting over late and people wanting to get home so they can get up for work the next day. We tend to be out of the games though and it goes from a small crowd to even smaller instead of packed to small.More Questions & Answers...
