Who is the most likely player to become part of the 50/50 club in this generation??

Question:50 home runs and 50 stolen bases within a season

Answers:

Baseball- what do they mean when they say...?

Soriano is Wrigley would have a shot. He could very easily hit 50 in a season and IF they allowed him to run a lot get the 50 to go 50/50.

Other then him and I don't believe it will happen anytime soon. Think about it. If he gets 175 hits in a season-50 have to be homeruns, some will be Triples and of course, a lot (probably 35-40 will be Doubles. So to get to 50 steals he'd have to steal 3rd base a lot or he'd be limited to 75 hits + his walks to get 50 steals of 2nd base... Tough.

Is Roger Clemens coming back to the yankees?

Carl Crawford, but it would take a miracle season.

AROD?

Did the Yankees Win Tonight???

The only guy I can see doing that would be Soriano. He was by far the closest since a young AROD. The Yanks no longer send Arod as much, so he tops out at 20 swipes. Crawford's power is growing, but realistically he tops out at 25-30 HR, same with Reyes. Soriano has shown he can get close to both 50 hr (he had 46 last year) and has the speed (over 40 swipes in 3 seasons including last year).

Why do they call jeff francoeur frenchy?

I don't think it's going to happen but I'm going to honestly chose Grady Sizemore. The Indians don't steal much but they say they are going to start stealing more now.Sizemore could steal 70 in a season easy if they ran a lot. As for home runs he hasn't hit above 28 yet but he's only 24 and he's getting stronger. So expect some of his doubles to turn into homers. The other advantage is that he is a lefty and the left field wall is 19 feet tall. The mini green monster they call it. So assuming most of his home runs are pulled he would hit them over the 7 foot wall or whatever it is. A combination of advantages give him the best chance. Soriano and Craford would be the other 2 who could get it.

Who likes the Yankees?

Soriano is the only player to show he can get close any time recently.

Younger Vlad (when he used to steal more), Younger ARod (same deal), maybe someday Sizemore.

Realistically, I think Soriano can do it, especially in Wrigley. He started off slow this year, so maybe not this year, but I think he has a legitimate shot.

Everyone else is a long shot.

What is the MLB record for the most consecutive scoreless games by a single pitcher?

soriano has the best shot, sizemore doesnt hit enough HR and no way arod steals 50, crawford isnt a 50 hr guy either

My son's starting PeeWee baseball this year...bats?

I agree with Soriano..He seems the only likely candidate right now...

How did jackie robinson die?

Since it has never happened, if someone does do it they will have started a new club. Personally, I don't see it happening. As players get older and stronger they generally lose speed or become more cautious on the basepaths. Most managers don't like to see their power hitters risking injury to gain a base. If this were to happen, tt would take a remarkable season, a fluke season.
