Why doesn't Major league Baseball do something about all of these steroid users?

Any tips for breaking in a new softball glove?

The steroid users are heavily protected by the Player's Union. The union will never cooperate with George Mitchell's "investigation". The steroid users are the men who helped save the league when the strike was settled in 1995. They hit the homers and got the butts in the seats. The owners knew. The managers knew. Hell, some of the fans knew, too. Back in 1997, Baseball Weekly ran a cover story on Ken Caminiti, complete with a sleeveless photo of him showing off his chemically enhanced arms. The story was touting the so-called "muscle boom". It was MLB's open secret, and what's even more galling, the same guys who probably saw teammates juice up back then are keeping quiet today, following baseball's arcaic locker room codes. It's absolutely sickening to see these guys gladhand the so-called steroid users. Want to know something even more galling? How about Jason Giambi winning the American League Comeback Player of the Year award in 2005? (Yes, my friends...Giambi bounced back from his steroid aided success, his decline after going off the juice, and his sudden rise due to amphetamines...gotta love those sportswriters!)

Because they use them as guinea pigs to see the effects of juicing and they make money from merchandising and Pharmaceutical companies.

In Baseball, how far "afield" can a runner go to get to a base? (can they run not in a straight line

They have to allow for due process, which means they can't do anything unless someone gets caught. When they do get caught, it's a 50 game suspension for a first offense.

The problem is all those guys who used to use steroids before MLB banned them -- there isn't anything that can be done to them. When they used steroids, it wasn't against MLB rules. It was against the law, though, so maybe you should complain to the government.
