Is 2007 the mets year?
Question:I know if it is im buying a plaque and im celebrating like crazy. Mets all the way baby 2007 and 2006 was just the warming of the mets hotness and we have carlos beltran best player in baseball and paul lodcua, all the best players only two player the mets should get and thats mike piazza and nick swisher. 2007 is the mets year in my mind :) what does everyone else think give the world ereis matchup you think will happen.

The Mets dont have all the best players. There are much better outfielders than Alou and Green and better second baseman than Valentin. We have a lot of very good players and are defenitely going to be able to contend for the world championship this year

It's good to be optimistic about your team and all, but as history shows, a good start in april doesn't necessarily mean anything for October. Yes, the Mets have a good team. But good teams lose all the time. When they make the final out, and they hoist up that trophy, then you can say it is their year. Until then, just dream about 1986.
