Does anyone think Barry Zito has a chance at NL Cy Young?

Question:I think he does because he won the AL Cy Young a few years ago, and the AL has better hitters. The reason he's fell off a little bit the past couple of years is because the AL hitters have seen him and his amazing curveball. The NL hitters have never seen a curveball like his, and in interleague play he has been dominate the past couple of years so I think he has a decent chance at winning the Cy Young award. What do you think?

not when he is on a team like the giants

Why it is that some of the MLB teams have the players names on the jerseys and some dont.?

No chance. Zito has been on the decline for several years and so has his curveball.

No. He's simply not that good.

What is Your Favorite Baseball Team, and what state are you from?

No chance. He has only won 20 games once, and that was 5 years ago! Plus he can't hit, which means he will be pulled quicker in the NL for a pinch-hitter, as opposed to staying in another inning like he did in the AL. This will cost him some decisions. Lastly, the Giants are a .500 club.

If these are your pitchers, what is are your rotations 1 through 5?

If he spends more time preparing for his starts than he does partying & playing guitar then I think he can do it.

What is the record for most consecutive games with a double?

Sure he has a chance, but it's a different game in the NL. Different strategy... I think Jason Schmidt will be better, as well as Brandon Webb, Carlos Zambrano, Cole Hamels, John Smoltz... He'll have to pitch lights out in order to do so...

Why would you sign a guy like Edwin Jackson?

I just don't think hes as good as the Zambranos, Carpenters and Sheets of the league. I think he'll have a good first half, because like you said the NL hitters haven't seen his stuff, but they'll figure him out the way AL hitters did. He's been going downhill since he won the Cy Young and I don't see that slide stopping.

In baseball why do you go right to 1st instead of left to 1st?

No. That lineup is full of very old guys that won't produce a lot of runs. You can win games if your team doesn't score.

Who was the first black baseball player in the major leagues? (hint not Jackie Robinson)?

No period.

Astros fans.?

To be honest no. He has done nothing over the past few years that show me he is capable of being that dominant for that long of a period of time.

He is also know for getting off to horrendous starts.

Whos better the Boston Red Sox or the New York Yankees?

I think he has a great chance. If he can stay healthy all season, he has the stuff to dominate in the NL. He has been decent the last couple of years but something wasn't quite right. I think that the change to the NL was just what he needed for a great year.
