Dude up there is WRONG!So many things could be wrong.
One, look at your fingers. Are your first set of knuckles lined up, the ones you knock with?
Two, that will take the bat out of your palms and place it into your fingers, which will make your hands more relaxed and quicker. Also, the guy up there is right in that your muscle memory is not trained to fire that way yet. Takes hours of practice.
Three, your back elbow, is it up? If not, good. If so, let your elbows point comfortably to the ground so your arms look like a "V" upside down of course.
Four, keep your front shoulder in, that will be a big change to make.
Five, take your hands to the ball, let the knob of the bat lead and throw your hands at the ball.
Six, let your head and eyes track the ball from your front shoulder to your back shoulder. Call it hitting from shoulder to shoulder.
