Its called major league baseball over expansion.Take out tampa bay, florida, washington (capitols), kc royals, and maybe milwakee brewers
how much would that change the league.
people in florida dont care about baseball. they have a repeat national champion basketball team that still isnt as popular as any of the 2 pro football or 3 major college football teams.
mlb is too greedy.

they traded their fan favorite veterans for good rookiesWhere can I find a list of every home run hit by Barry Bonds?
I agree, it is really disappointing that the Marlins don't get a lot of support. The issue is the fans don't want to support an owner who won't spend money and who dismantles the team after every championship. Its hard to connect to a team when this happens. What website can i listen to the Yankee opening game on my work computer?
Cus they are still mad about the time when they won the world series and then dismanted the team .Its the front office to blame and with miami being more about football they dont care about baseballAs other posters have noted, the Marlins don't seem to want to keep a competitive team; everytime they win they dismantle the team the next season. You can't expect fans to show up for a rebuilding year each time. Furthermore, it seems that every owner the Marlins has ever had has spent more time complaining about not getting a taxpayer funded new stadium. Asking Florida taxpayers to foot the bill for a new stadium when you are constantly watering down the product is not particulary fair.
A second reason is that maybe Florida is not a major league baseball state; maybe it is more suited for minor league baseball. After all, previous to 1993 the state of Florida never had a team at the AAA level.
There are a couple of reasons.Number 1 being that Flordia has a large population of Elderly people. Most Elderley people(60 and older)tend not to go to as many baseball games as younger people. Also the Marlins seem to dismantle their team after they win the world series so all the popular players are constantly leaving.
It is just that Miami is not a baseball town, its just that simple. They don't have any history down there of baseball and the people down there would rather be at the beach or a club then the baseball.
They need to move that franchise sooner rather then later.
