well, i wouldnt say that i hate him, but i personally think he did steroids, and so do a ton of other people. and i dont like people who do steroids. that's my answer.People hate on Barry bonds because the media has made him the scape goat for this generation. I believe that he is the greatest player of his generation without question. People will argue that he is a cheater, but nobody seemed to care when Sosa and McGuire were cheating. Also people say that obviously A-Rod and Griffey didn't cheat, can we really be so sure of that. barry is hated by the press, and ie his public face has been always been shown in a bad light because of it. But since barry numbers started going up again ( after big Mac and Sosa big year) he has shown his back side. Even Gary Sheffeild who was once a good friend, hates bonds now.There is no question about bonds using, the only question is if he knew he was taking them, and if he stopped. at least 3 people have said that he either ask about taken them, or admitted taking them around the 99 season. He even admitted that he did, just that his trainer "slipped" them in and didn't tell him. (we can leave that one alone)
The fact that the trainer, has sat in jail 2 or 3 times instead of talking to a grand jury/judge/court after not him but bonds says quite enough.

You don't know that he is innocent .The fact that he has whizzed in a bottle and came up clean does not mean that he can't be found guilty based upon circumstantial evidence.
Basically circumstantial evidence asks that a plausible explanation other than steroids be used to explain his dramatic increase in physical size and his dramatic increase in home run production. In the absence of such an explanation a reasonable person will assume that a performancing enhancing agent was used.

I think this is funny...look how you guys give thumbs up and down, there are obviously more Bonds haters than supporters. People give thumbs down to people who try to defend Bonds just because those who hate him don't want people to defend him. Well now I'm going to say my piece...1. Did Bonds take steroids? I don't know, I don't doubt he did, but when he did it wasn't illegal. He also has never tested positive as stated by Bud Selig, and Selig isn't exactly a Bonds supporter himself.
2. Did he take the cream and clear? Yes. Were there steroids in the cream and clear? According to evidence, most likely yes. Did other players say they used cream and clear? Yes. Did those other players attract as much attention? Hell no.
3. Did others test positive for steroids? Yes. Did others admit to steroids? Yes. Ok so why are all fingers still pointing at Bonds and for some reason people think he is the reason everyone takes steroids.
4. How long have steroids been around? Since the early 1920s. Is there any proof no one did steroids back then? No. Could people back then during the time of Ruth and Aaron have taken steroids? Yes (Ruth's era not his entire career only his second half).
5. Do fans want to see the long ball? Yes. Does steroids help hit the long ball? Yes. Do fans complain when the long ball is hit, whether steroid aided or not? No. Why? Because you don't exactly know if it is steroid aided or not. -- I have seen Bonds haters watch him bat just to see if he hits one and when he does they all look in awe like "damn he hit that far."
This is what I know from research and papers I have done in the past. Whether Bonds did steroids or not, what he is doing is historic. Take away homers for "alleged" steroid use and he still is the only 500HR-500SB man in the game. He still would be in the Hall of Fame for his feats. Do you have to like him? No. Do you have to respect him? No. Should he be respected if he breaks the record? Yes, I think he should but that does not mean he will.
Lastly to all you Bonds haters...
If Bonds hits 756 and you happen to be at that game, and you catch it, what would you do with it? If you sell it, you aren't a true Bonds hater, or you wouldn't think the ball wouldn't be worth that much because of steroids. But who knows greed somehow always manages to win, but this separates the die hard fans from regular fans.
