How many Yank fans think that taking 2/3 from the Red Sox is the start of their "comeback"?

How many home runs would hank aaron have hit if he had played for the rockies?

I am a red sox fan but i won't trash talk I'll answer honestly what i feel.I think it comes down to their pitching. They cannot win with that starting rotation. They don't have enough inning eaters and the bullpen is getting taxed to hell. Some nights the bats will make up for it but this is not the same great Yankee rotations of the past they made their huge surges with. They had roger going 7 or 8 at one time, wells 7 and 8 capable,Pettitte and Orlando Hernandez could eat innings many a night to.They have too many six inning guys and roger just adds to that problem.

Cashman needs to start using that load of money to get inning eating quality pitchers if they want a real shot to finish within 15 games of the sox by years end.Clemens is not the answer and for the money they paid him they could have probably had a James Shields,Rich Hill,Cole Hamels type guys for the same price as one clemens. If it stays as it is now they can't come back,if they grab at least two quality inning eaters so the pen can be fresh for night roger and moose pitch then you have a good chance not only to stay close but to win the division outright.

Why is it that the rough New York media let Giambi off so easily?

I do. They are coming together as a complete team and gettin back into their normal form. Once Abreu picks it up and Matsui and Cano break out as they do, its over for the Sox, again

Is Dice-K For Real?

They are definitely coming back but they need to strengthen their bullpen first for a shot at the 1st place AL East. They need to make sure Kyle Farnsworth can setup the situation for closer Mariano Rivera and that Rivera can control the game and close it easily.

Why the Boston Redsox suck right now...?

Could be but the Red Sox still have to lose more than they win in order for the Yanks to catch them.

Who was on the mound when Bill Buckner missed the ball in the 1986 World Series?

It sure boosts their morale a bit and is encouraging, but remember, until the pitching staff comes together, the yanks wont be able to string together wins. Pettite and Wang can hold it down, but Moose needs to get back to form. Then we reach a gray area. Clemens sure helps, but Yanks pitchers have been extremely inconsistent, exception Pettite. One of the problems this year has been inconsistancy of offense and pitching coming together. Good starts are ruined by lack of offense. Monster offensive days are overshadowed by horrendous pitching. Bullpen is so overused that Mike myers is in long relief.

Im sure the Yanks will get back up there, but in my opinion as of right now, the Sox have the edge.

Why is it that only one active player in MLB (the Yankee's Mariano Rivera) wears #42?

maybe who know i think if they play they played against the red sox good pitching and great hiiting they start something who know time will only tell i hope so

go yankees

Baseball Cards?

Cant start a comeback if you cant win. I dont like the yanks or redsox but its true. Plenty of time left to comeback in the divison and take the lead. Boston fans are acting like its Mid August and they have the division locked up. Have you looked at the calander. There are still 100+ games and the yanks are not even 15 games back. It only takes about 50 games and they might have the lead.

What do the hand signals in baseball mean?

Im gonna laugh at whoever answers this a yes. Taking 2/3 is not a start by any means. They would still be out 9.5 games and have only minor momentum with a still shaky pitching staff. Especially now with a 3 game set against the Angels... who have been known as the Yankee killers in the playoffs as of late. Its gonna take a lot more than 2 wins in 3 games. Il call it a comeback IF they make it to within 4 games before mid August. I honestly think they wont, and I honestly think they will barely contest for the Wild Card with the AL Central being so dominant. Every team has a bad year. Get over it Yankee fans.

Is pitching with sunglasses on safe?

I am still not sure. If they were 7 games out, I would say yes. The Yankees are getting healthy and the bats are coming around, but it would take an incredible hot streak, or a lengthy slide by the Red Sox to make up that kind of ground.

I think the Yankees will get hot for an extended period of time, and maybe Boston will get beat up like they did at the end of last season. Anything's possible, but it's going to be a challenge.

Question for yankee and red sox fans?

not Me. I`m a Red Sox fan. They have to do a little more before i`m convinced that they`ve come back.

Does anyone think that if Barry Bonds breaks the home run record he should be recognized as the record holder?

plus its the Yankees , i think there are capable to make it on top

How do you throw a split finger, a sinker, a circle change and a cutter?

Keep dreaming. The Yankees' problems are ongoing, with poor starting pitching and shallow bullpen. They tend to have to score a lot to win, and despite the good batting order, it does not always happen.

Japanese style harder to hit?
