Does astros rookie Hunter Pence have a rookie card yet ? If so where can I buy one?
Rundown is where the baserunner is caught between the 2 bases and they defense is on both sides of him throwing it back and forth keeping him in a 'rundown' where he cant get back to a base. They eventually are able to tag him and record the out.when a player is not on his base and players try to tag him out.

Why are some MLB teams playing regular season games today while others are still playing preseason?
It is when a runner is caught between bases. For example.a runner is on 2nd base.the hitter hits the ball to 2nd base and the runner is trying to make it to 3rd base but knows he will be out. So he stops when the ball is thrown to 3rd base.he then tries to run back to 2nd and they throw it there. Now they have him in a rundown trying to tag him out. it can go back and forth until he is tagged out.
I was wondering why the Detroit Tigers Pitcher got ejected from the game?
Rundown:A player is running between two bases, and while he is doing that, the person guarding that base catches the ball. The player running is so far away from the base, that he can try to turn and go back to the last base. But the person with the ball can also throw to that base.
When this happens, the people guarding the bases often start running towards each other, giving the base runner less and less room to move. The runner keeps running back and forth until he is tagged out or someone misses the ball and he can make it safely back to a base.
In Major League Baseball, a rundown doesn't happen in every game, but it does happen every year.
Which NL Player will have the most stolen bases from 4/9-4/15?
It'll probably sound familiar once you hear the term "pickle." Like others said, it's basically when a base runner is caught between two fielders and both of the fielders are closing in and trying to tag the base runner out. It happens often in the MLB and clever base runners are sometimes lucky enough the spin away from the tag or evade the fielder in some way to successfully reach their original base or the next base.More Questions & Answers...
