past is ted williams.he bought a very positive image and reputation to the franchise of the redsox.not to mention the respect that he had for the game of baseball and the way that he played the game.and he is hall of famer to.even if at the time that he played the redsox werent winning any championships,he still gave redsox fans hope and a good reason to b fans.my favorite redsox in the present is big papi david ortiz.even is he is a DH,he plays the game right and he is a very unselfish player and he knows how to come through when his team needs him.and he is one of the leaders on the redsox.PS:he always plays good VS the yankees.
