I think you're referring to the fact that after this season, the Cubs franchise will be sold (not traded). The company that owns the Cubs (Tribune Co.) was just acquired by a billionaire, but he doesn't want to keep the Cubs. So after this season, the team will be sold to a new owner (person or group).There is really no chance that the club will be moved to a new city, as the Cubs have tons of history there (and really nowhere else) and are very popular.
