What if Barry Bonds becomes an MLB manager, 10 yrs from now?
Question:(I am only using Bonds as an example (because it adds flavor). But it could be (N.Ryan, J.Bench, W.Mays or any HOF "Player").
He is in the Hall of Fame as a player already, for the sake of this question. But what if he became a manager, and then was found to have placed bets on his team? Would he be kicked out of the Hall of Fame altogether? or Would it not effect his HOF status, because he didn't do it as a player?

Is a salary cap and revenue sharing impossible in baseball?
Kicking him out of the HOF is not without precedent. Alan Eagleson was a ong-time player agent and then head of the NHLPA. In fact, he was the lawyer who built the NHLPA. But when he charged with numberous counts of fraud in Canada, and with RICO violations in the US, talk began to turn to kicking him out of the Hall. When he was found guilty in Canada and plead out in the US, he was kicked out.Precednet is precedent.
Where did the term "Pickle" come from in Baseball?
I'm confused? How do you throw different baseball pitches?
barry bonds will never be in any type of athority position anywhere because of his lack of personalityHas anyone in MLB ever worn number 28?
First Bond would never become a manager second i would think MLB would let a HOF player who placed bets on a games stay in the HOF but will never allow him to be involved in anything that has to do with the MLB againIs there any where i can search for yankees tickets by exact section and row?
Generally great players do not become managers. Most HOF's have great talent and work ethic to get to where they ended up. However, it is the average player that makes the great coach. This is because they need to learn how to do everything just to stay in the middle of the pack. Since they had to learn how to do something, it generally makes it easier to teach. If he were to be found guilty he could be kiked out of the HOF.

He's not even worthy of being a player much less a manager. No integrity, no class. And he doesn't belong in the hall of fame.Ok i'm soo sick of ppl who have been jumping on the brewer ban wagen?
he would probly have a good team to coachDo you think the Detroit Tigers will win the world series this year?

Does anyone know where I can find MLB Draft Papers? I think I'm going to declare myself elligible?
What is your Question?Who thinks the mets are having a good season?
Mark my words, you dont have to worry about it. The baseball writers of america are NEVER going to vote Bonds into the HOF.His status in the HOF would not be affected. He would be banned from baseball at that point.
It's a convoluted question but I believe that any player that is banned from baseball is also banned from the HOF and his membership would be revoked because one of the six criteria required for election is personal integrity.
Check the team for 'roids. Can managers be suspended if they are found to have used 'roids? It takes a lot of effort to argue the calls...
Seriously. I think the league would do something similar to the way they handled Pete Rose, but I don't think they would remove hime from the HOF, just a lifetime ban from involvement with the sport.
