Now that the KC Royals won their home opener...?
Question:What's going to happen with the Royals?
1) It's 1985 all over again baby! World Champs.
2) 300 + losses over the last three seasons, what's 100 more?
I think it's going to be a lonely season at Kauffman this year.

How about...3) 69-93 as the younger players provide hope for the future (possibly as early as '08, considering last season's Detroit team came from nowhere to play in the World Series)?

4) They take their ball and go home after beating the most over-hyped team in the AL.They are going to win 62 games because they will play team better then the Red Sox(Indians,Twins, White Sox,Tigers)often.
How much would you pay for the #756 baseball?
i agree with answer #1I say they won't be as good as 1985 but they are getting better with the addition of Gil Meche who pitched a great game yesterday and with the acquisition of Tony F Pena who had 2 triples in the game will give Royals fans long awaited hope that a winning season is in the future but as for now I think they'll finish last but avoid 100 losses. I say they go 75-87 in a tough Al Central
Is the Phillies season over like my bf said or do they just need retuning?
Unless the Royals really take off or another AL Central team falls apart, KC will finish last again. The funny thing though is they can finish last and still be significantly better because of the division they play in.I expect the Royals to make big strides this year. Alex Gordon is going to be the real deal, a true superstar. With Billy Butler on the way next year, we could potentially have our own Big Papi/Manny combo in the lineup. Then add guys like David Dejesus, Mark Teahan, and Ryan Shealy, we have a good core of hitters if they all continue to progress as expected.
The key will be the pitching. Gil Meche has always had great stuff but has been inconsistant. He is entering his prime and yesterday was a great start for him in a Royals uniform. Zach Grienke needs to continue to show he is back from his personal problems last year. So far so good, at least in spring training. The Royals have a bunch of young picthers with potential coming up through the system that we will see in the next few years. They key will be to get some of these guys to reach their potential. Which really is the key to the Royals success, getting all these young superstars to reach their potential and become solid MLB players.
The Royals are finally on the right track.
What detroit tigers pitcher has the most saves in the month of april?
4th place finish in the central. 85 losses. What is your feeling about the Yankees leaving Yankee Stadium for new Yankee Stadium in 2009?
I cant belive they beat the Red Sox.Why do pitchers wear a jacket if they get on base?
It won't be '85 again, but they won't lose 100 again either. They won't be a playoff contender but I firmly believe the Royals will win 75 games this year and will fight with the White Sox for fourth place in the division. Everybody laughs at me, but check out this stat:31 blown saves last year. With Dotel as a closer now, I think they can at least cut that in half which, with their wins from last year, would put them at - you guessed it 75 wins. Its always lonely for us Royals fans at Kaufmann, but they are getting better and we'll fill that stadium for more than just opening day one of these years.
GO ROYALS!!!!!
