Red sox and the world series?

Question:im a die hard red sox fan and not being biast but i think that the way there headed there going to the world series.

Answers:

Who will win the CUBS SOX series This weekend?

Boston always seems to come out of the gates strong. It is usually around late May/early June that we slump a little bit, then pick it up again after the all star break. With Beckett on the DL, Drew having slammed into the wall hard, and Hinske ringing his bell pretty hard on that diving catch we have to wait and see how the physical toll is going to affect the team on a long season. If the Sox can play NY hard the last 2 games, and get through June playing up to the standard they have set then I might be comfortable agreeing with you. But it is too early to say. I do know that we need Beckett. AND NY is going to be getting back their picthers, making for a strong rotation, so it will get more interesting as time goes.

But if I HAD to make a prediction, I'd say it would be Boston in the series. We have the most come from behind victories in MLB this season so far. That is a huge sign of success in my book. And with our pen we are a late inning force to be reckoned with.

Who is the best player in the MLB?

Its still early in the season and anything can still happen but with the way that they are playing, and how dominant their rotation has been, it definitely looks that way.

Are any Red Sox fans really upset or worried about Roger Clemens going to the Yankees?

While I am also a Sox fan, when will people learn that the meaning of the "Answers" section of Yahoo is to aid people looking for just that, answers, to real questions. This isn't a damn message board or chat room, if you want to boast about the team, find one of those sites and leave this one for its true purpose!

Baseball Site?

It is only May! Wait until after the all star break.

Cy young??

Um - it would help if JD Drew got hurt

Baseball trivia?

Well, if other sports are any indication, you would be totally wrong.

Look at basketball - Dallas? Phoenix? Both had the best records in basketball - neither is going to the Championship.

Like the first person said - it's early in the season. Don't jinx yourself.

Bunting rules?

no i think they wount because the yankees have to much talent on there team and sooner or latter they will start to play like a team

Will Barry Bonds come back next year?

I think the Sox are headed to the post season. But one thing I've noticed is that the teams who have the easiest time in the regular season tend to falter in the post-season. Look at the Yankees last year, cruised to the post season, dropped in the division series. The Mets cruised all year, choked in the NLCS. But the Cardinals had to fight all season just to stay above .500 and it kept them ready for the playoffs more so than any other team. The post season is too volatile to really predict so early on. A 5 or 7 game series can go either way. The Red Sox have been great all year, but a couple bad starts in the post-season, and its over. So the playoffs seem a good bet, even if the Sox wont cruise all season like they are now, and they are probably the best team in the league right now. But who knows what will happen in 3 months? David Ortiz could tear his hamstring up or Schilling could break his hand or something.

For baseball players: what is a invention that you could use to make baseball easier?

1. It's still mid-May. Long way to go.

2. The baseball playoff system defies reliable predictability. Examples abound, but for a recent case, the 2006 Mets fell to the Cardinals, who hardly had business being in October at all.

What are the qaulifications to be a MLB bat boy?

Man they better!!

Do you know what songs Jose Reyes listens to before his at bats at home?

I would say yes if they keep their winning ways, but if they start loosing who knows they yankees might sneek in to the AL East lead and that wild card will be tough

How can i become a better pitcher?

well, it's too early to tell and I'm pretty superstition when it comes to this stuff. But yes, if they keep playing the way they are playing from now till the very last game and everyone stays healthy, i think they have a chance to make to the play offs.

Why is it that Bobby Cox never gets any heat for not winning more than one world series in 1000 years, yet.

They are definitely on pace to make the playoffs. No so sure about the world series this early.
