Can anyone tell me how to block out the lights when playing baseball in the outfield?
it is all a scam nothing will happen. If you could jinx your team by talking them up, then every team would be the worst team on earth. Its up to the players, not you.
Superstitions are really not valid for example if a black cat walks in front of you something bad will happen. In most cases nothing bad happens but in the event that something bad does happen it's not a superstition it's just a coincidence cause if a black cat wouldn't have walked in front of you the bad thing still would have happened. I believe everything happens for a reason. Superstitions are just ways skeptical people try to rationalize the event that just happened.
Do you think the yankees will win the Division Title this year?
No. It happens when you believe it happens. Instead, be a positive thinker and don't let superstitions ruin your day. When are they going to play field of dreams again?
what you were talking about is not superstition, it's motivation. you were basically cheering your team on, but they couldn't here you. if you had been heir to REALLY cheer them on, then they would win, i have seen soem situations where motivation saved the day, im in rotc, and we went to spring camp, i was there when my team was completely losing in tug of war, but we didn't stop cheering them on, and they went from about an inch away from losing, to completely crushing the competition, that huge comeback was becouse they had the motivation to win, becouse losing was NOT an option, after all, we are the best battalion in all of lee countyWhich division is the most boring?

As a player (this applies to footy in Oz but can apply to most sports):
Have a pee before entering the dressing room, don't say a word until the coach says something, put you left boot on before your right one, never leave the dressing room before the captain, never speak to or touch spectators when walking down the race onto the ground, don't look at any members of the other side, never speak to any umpire or official, don't wish the opposition 'good luck', always fart before the game starts, make sure you spit on the ground in your playing position, turn your back on your direct opponant before you commence playing...sheesh, is that superstitious enough?
