Question:i hearing all the hype and i'm itching to see this dude pitch.. i heard he has 8 different types of pitches (all good).. and 1 gyro ball pitch that kinda goes in a circular motion! that's crazy

Do you think anyone will break the record for 73 hr in a season this year? If so...who?
he appears to be for real. I've seen him pitch twice in spring training and both starts were very impressive.Wasn't Hideki Irabu supposed to be the real deal too?
Why are the SF Giants doing so bad so far this year?
no i dont think so lolBaseball game (serious awnsers only no dumb awnsers)?
gyro pitch is like a changeup/screwball...it doesnt circle around, nor does it explode, or anything like that...Matsuzaka will be good unless hitters can figure him out...hes got a good fastball (96ish) and great off speed stuff, and no one has really seen him yet...this is a lethal combo for a "rookie" pitcher. he tore it up in the World Baseball Classic, where the US team didnt make it to the Finals, this should be a good example of what he can do. I say he wins about 17 or 18, and gets about 175 K's.He'll be the ace of that staff, although hes starting in the 3 spot.Do you think Barry Bonds will break hank Aarons record?
Is he the real deal?? Way too early to say.. He does have control of about 4 pitches but he DOESN'T throw a gyroball by his own admission.. He did dominate the WBC but that was during the time of spring training where your Major Leaguers aren't up to par in their batting performance...He is a big question mark for the Sox going in as he has never pitched in the Majors and is going to pitch against the American League East (a nightmare for any pitcher).. If he stays healthy, "learns the hitters", and makes the adjustments early on he can be a great pitcher but I wouldn't expect a Cy Young year
How many home runs did ernie banks have?
I think he will be a good pitcher. (BTW gyro ball is quoted by most Japanese players who are now playing in America as a bad slider)Now he will have to deal with stronger line ups. Quicker bats and a lot more innnings. I think he will do very well his first year but I dont see him being the next Pedro, or RJ.
BTW his arm is already tired...
Does any body no a website where you can find out hte contracts of MLB players?
I think Dice-K will have a great year, and I fully expect that he'll finish in the top-5 in strikeouts. Every Japanese starter who has come to the bigs has had excellent K-rates in their first season (even Hideki Irabu). Dice-K's ERA will be in the 3.25-3.75 range, as he pitches in a tough park, but he'll have good win totals and great K/BB rates.I predict a 18-8 line with a 3.35 ERA and 235 k's.
And Dice-K has made it clear that he does not, in fact, throw a gyroball.
Where has tarzan of the dodgers gone from 1970-?
He's the real deal for a #3 starter. He's gonna have a good year. Not a Cy Young year, but maybe a Rookie of the year. With the amount of pitches he can throw, he will pile up innings and the Sox will exhaust the other teams bullpen.Which MLB player has/ had the oddest, strangest, weirdest superstition(s) ?
I think he'll be a good pitcher. He still is young, and new to American bats and strike zone, still. Once he gets used to the system, I think he has a great chance of being a very good pitcher.Would anyone else like to see MLB break the AL/NL Barrier?
i think he will be good.It will be very hard to be dominate in that division. He will be fair at best.
He will find out that pitching in the major leagues is much more difficult than pitching in Japan.
Batters here adapt quickly and have much better power and bat speed.
Not until he proves it. All talk until then.
Who will win the world series this year?
Matsuzaka is overrated. There are many more skilled hitters here in the Major leagues than in Japan.Who is the dirtiest Baseball player ever?
Yet to be seen. He will be very tested in the AL east that's for sure. What are some good exercises and stuff to do for pitchers?
yes he is as real as you areWill the mets sweep the yanks today ?
Yeah he is the real deal. Can't wait to see for myself at the Yankee series at the end of the month...How do you convert high school baseball stats to college and mlb?
