If Julio Franco plays until he's 55 and gets 3,000 hits do you think he'll make the hall?

Answers:
Maybe. Don Sutton played a 100 years to get 300 wins and he got into the Hall.
Oswalt vs. Capuano game tonight?
I do hope that Julio Franco does make the Hall but I don't think he will since he was back and forth between the minors, the Caribbean and another leagues before making a comeback. Julio Franco was undervalued during his first stint in the majors and in the prime of his career he left to another place to play. However I think Julio is trying to be the next Rickey Henderson without speed... he is still good with the glove and with the bat but speed is slow. What is the 2 best pitchers in the Oakland A´s history?
Yeah. 3,000 hits gurantees you in the HOF. I also think that major league baseball would also have to commemorate a player who played so long in the league.Would anyone make this trade in fantasy baseball. - Vlad Guerrero for Jimmy Rollins.?
I think Julio will go to the HOF regardless.. I just think its completely unnecessary to play until 55. You have to slow down sometime, quit while you are ahead and leave with your head up. Be remembered for playing well and know when it is time to stop.Very possible. Just cuz he played for so damn long.
In head to head leagues with 2 divisions, do the top 3 teams from each division make the playoffs?
I doubt itHas there ever been a national league pitcher that batted in another spot besides 9th in the lineup?
YEs. I think if not for 3000H than for longevity. There are certain milstones that will all but guarantee entry into the Hall of Fame: 500 HRs, 3000 hits, 300 wins. Those are magical numbers with very elite company.
I think he's got an outside shot as it is, even without 3000. Granted he's not exactly first-ballot material, but he is a career .300 hitter with over 2500 hits. Not to mention, his longevity has been a great story for baseball and it is, after all, the Hall of Fame, not the Hall of Statistics. They will take intangibles like that into account.
Absolutely...if ANYONE plays until the age of 55 he should make it to the Hall of Fame...that in itself is a MIRACLE!
Add in 3,000 hits to the resume and he's a SHOE-IN!
How do you see the Astros doing this year?
Julio would most likely make the HOF with 3000 hits. His longevity is remarkable. He's always kept himself in great shape. He may play another year, but that's about it.Is Roger Clemens just a Band-Aid for the Yankee pitching staff or could he be their seasons' savior?
I think he should be in now.He could DH in the American League, hit 300 and get the rest of the hits up to and through 3000.
Is the currentt manager of your favorite team doing a good job?
i think he should be inducted. he has been playing for sooo long and he is probably older than the whole devil rays roster..Do you believe the Brewers can play like that all year?
It will depend on if he is able to play productively until that time. He was not a very productive player last year (though the 6 SB were impressive). He has also been a part time player since the mid-1990s, and was never considered a top-flight player, though he appeared in a few all-star games. If I had to guess, I would say no. The hall has not been kind to novelty acts.
Do the San Francisco Giants have the best starting pitching staff in the NL West?
He should get number 3000 sooner than 55, and I think any man who can play at that level at his age needs special recognition, so yes he should make the Hall of Fame.I dont know anything about baseball, But does any one think that Roger Clemens is not worth $28mil?
No but he would probably have some mention about him for his longevity. What is the worst/best moment in Cleveland Sports history?
I don't think so. I would compare Franco to Minnie Minoso. He was a great ballplayer, but no HOFer. Minoso was the oldest ever to play an MLB game, being 57 in 1980.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/minnie_mino...
Is Jeter going to win another golden glove?
If you count non-MLB hits, then I've got about 400 from Little League and High School. So if I get into a men's league and play until I'm 70... and get 3000 hits, will I go to the hall? The only way Julio Franco will ever get into the Hall of Fame is if he buys a ticket.
yes
You think 127 millions will buy you victories?
