If you have a competitive softball team but must play girls, can guys push them out of the way to make plays?
Question:This team could be good but they have a horrible outfielder who is a girl. YOu have to have three girls on the field. Can guys just start pushing her out of the way, or do they have to let her try?

Put the worst in right field, most slow pitch softball players (right handers) can't hit opposite field. Other than that, I wouldn't push them out of the way, but let 'em know you'll be chasing down any and every fly ball and if you can get there you're going to catch it.

I dont fully understand. Are you on the same team as her? If you are then yeah you should let her try but back her up if she messes up. Also, if you have a kool enough coach then talk to him/her about it.When is josh beckets birthday and how old is he?
If your playing against her just try your hardest to win.however you have to.Let them try. Only a complete jackarse would push a girl out of the way to make a play.

If she's having trouble with fly balls and is willing to work on it, have her take some extra fielding practice. She won't get better if she doesn't work on it.Otherwise, the least amount of balls are likely to be hit to right field. Put her there, put your fastest player in center, and have him/her take care of balls hit in that direction. Don't have to push her out of the way, just call her off.

in my co-ed leggue there has to be 2 chiks in the outfield, 2 on the infield and one as either the pitcher or catcher. while she is batting the outfield has to stand behind a certain line until the ball is hit and 12 inch are tossed to the guys and 11 inch tossed to the girls. also, the batting order has to alternate between male and female; if a man is walked then the woman batting behind him has the option to bat or also take a walk. in your case,it sounds like the coach needs to do some position changes. if she is in a place where alot of balls are hit, move her to right, or JUST REPLACE HER. as far as pushing her out of the way, that is bad sportsmanship. your best bet is to always back her up and be ready to make the play when she misses. if its close, call her off and make it yourself. and another thing, i can gaurentee, there is no way ONE outfielder makes the team bad
