Who is the best baseball team right now?
Ump in da house -- here it isIf the third out of an inning is made by the batter-runner before safely reaching first base, NO RUNS CAN SCORE! This is a force out of the batter-runner.
If the batter-runner reaches first safely and then is thrown out, the run would scoreif the runner touches home prior to the out being made. This is a time play.
A force out can only occur when a runner must attempt to advance and only if (a) it is at the next base in sequence and (b) no runner following him has been retired.
In the play -- no runs score as play is described.

No. If the inning ends on a force play no run is credited no matter when the runner scores. What was the first year there were night games at Wrigley Field?
No because thats the end of the inning and if the batter gets out, the runner on third base won't get the run.Huge Baltimore fan, may sound wierd, but Orioles..any chance of 2nd place or wild card team?
That depends on how he was thrown out at first. If he reached base safely and then was thrown out trying to get back to first - then the run counts. If he never reached first, it is a force out and the run doesn't count. An easy way to explain a force play is an out where you don't have to tag the base runner. Like a grounder to second, you just throw the ball to first, the first baseman only has to touch the bag not the runner. If the third out is recorded as a force out, then any runs scoring on that play do not count. But like I said, if the batter in your scenario reached first after the outfielder dropped the ball and overran the bag, then was thrown out trying to get back to first base, that is not a force out - the runner would have to be tagged with the ball - and the offense would get credit for the run scored from third (as long as the run crossed the plate before the runner at first was tagged out). What is the most famous number in baseball?
No. The final out of the inning in this situation was a force play on the batter (who obviously didnt run out the fly as he was supposed to). Therefore, the inning is over and no run is scored. However, if he threw to catch the batter at 2nd base, then it isn't a force, and the run would score. The error, other than being embarassing, has no bearing here.
Could we say this about a-rod?
No the run does not count provided the batter was out before he taged 1st. If he was taged out after touching 1st then the run would count since the run scored before the last out. I assume the intent of the question was that the throw beat the batter to first and in this case is just like a ground out like say 5-3 (third - first) where again the run does not score. Also in this case there would be no error.Pete Rose + Hall of Fame.. YES or NO???
In the highly unlikly situation (since he drops the pop up and then throws to first for the Force out) It is called an error but still a force out ... So no matter what the runner doesnt count. (just like if the hitter grounds out)Now if the runner got to first base and then got out (Running error) That would count as an Error on the team. Got to base and then the run would count.
