Nope. I like John but he's getting old. He could become like a coach of some sort for a team.Where can I find the largest public database of sports stats?
Judging by his performance with the Rockies this year - why would anyone want him? He's done. What is the status of Jason Schmidt?
I saw Mabry play for the Mariners in 1999-2000 and again in 2003. He was a great utility player and a good pinch hitter. However, he has never been a shining star in any respect. With a little under 900 career hits and a .263 batting average, whoever has him on their team is probably looking for a reserve player who can fill in for their regular on his day off. With that said, Mabry is a good choice. Every team needs at least one Mabry. So yes, Mabry could fill this role on some team. At this point in the season, its probably unlikely. However, there will be a few hurting teams out there in another few months on the cusp of being in the middle of the playoff chase, and these teams may pick him up. My gut feeling says San Francisco maybe a candidate for picking Mabry up, or perhaps the Cubs (yes, again) later in the season.More Questions & Answers...
