Pleazeeeeeeee how can you compare the crappy rays with the Marlins,, Don't even put them in the same league,,The marlins are far better! Rays always have a way of ending the season in Last Place!! yr after yr after yr!!Which team is better, Boston Red Sox or Yankees?
MarlinsCan the 1st place Cleveland Indians win their division this year?
marlins they have more pitcjingWhy does a 'K' count as a putout for the catcher?
Devil Rays! Why doesnt mike sciocia go with justin speier and scot shields and franki?
I agree with you. B.J. Upton and Carl Crawford.Marlins fo sho!!
Good question. I'll go with the D'Rays and yes, they will be a decent team this year. They're short on pitching, but pretty loaded everywhere else, except catcher and short. The Rays may be one of the most exciting young clubs in baseball.
How many of New York's 7 professional sports teams played games on Wednesday night?
The D-Rays don't have the pitching, despite their solid lineup, i don't think they can really compete in the AL East. The Marlins will be the better team in Florida this year, because they have a much better chance in competing in the National League with the Mets, Braves, and Phillies... they'll be right in there. Will Roger Clemens be drug tested this year?
Definet the marlins with hanley ramirtezWhat do you think about the Yankees trying to void Jason Gambia's contract?
well, both of the teams have the lowest saleries in the mlb but the marlins are getting way more bang for their buck. all these rookies dont really ask for alot of money till they earn it so the marlins are giving them long term contracts worth less that half a mil a year. The Florida Marlins have the better team but dont be surprised that during the mlb draft the rays trade up in the upcomming years to get about 5 1st round picks and try(keyword try) to follow in the marlins footstepsYou ever wonder why you get so attached to your favorite sports team?
The devil rays do have a great chance of being contenders but they are in a very deep division with the always strong yankees and red sox and the blue jays and orioles are much improved. I think the devil dogs will be better but the marlins will have the better recordWho invented the baseball hat ?
I would say Marlins for 2 reasons. 1. They have better pitching. 2. The marlins are in the National League and not the AL East. But I will say that those damn Devil Rays are fun to watch and there's something about that team that makes me want to follow them.Marlins
How do you "roll" or "work in" a softball bat?
I think the Marlins. They seem to be getting better each year.Do the Arizona diamondbacks have a chance at another championship?
Marlins even though they are very youngThe Marlins for sure.they are always the better team of the two. The lineups are both pretty good. Florida has Cabrera, Hanley, Uggla, Jacobs, and Willingham to name a few while Tampa counters that with Crawford, Young, Upton, Dukes, and Baldelli. Both are fairly young but full of talent. The difference is in the starting pitching. Tampa has Scott Kazmir, Shields, and a bunch of question marks (seriously Jae Seo and Casey Fossumm??) while Florida boasts Willis, Olsen, Nolasco, and Josh Johnson (when he comes back). Tampa should improve this year, but the Marlins are still the superior team.
Who do you think is the best on the mets?
marlins they got the d trainWill cableone have the baseball package?
Good question. I don't know if a hands-down argument can be made for either team. The Marlins have the superstar (Cabrera), the potential offensive core (Uggla, Willingham, Jacobs, Ramirez), and the young pitching (Willis, Olsen, Nolaco, Sanchez). However, nobody other than Cabrera or Ramirez has proven themselves as more than above average over more than half a season.
Tampa Bay has the offensive superstar (Crawford), the potential offensive core (Young, Upton, Dukes, Baldelli, Gomes, Harris, Iwamura, Zobrist) and the young pitching (Kazmir, Shields, Ryu, Hammel, Sonnanstine, Mason). However none besides Crawford and Kazmir has proven themselves over a full season.
Note the similar paragraphs there? Just one difference... Tampa Bay has more young talent available to trade if they happen to hit contention any time soon, they also have easily the deepest system in their division - whereas the Marlins aren't any deeper than Atlanta for hitting, or any deeper than New York for pitching.
These teams are equally good in terms of both talent and potential, but the Rays organization probably has a higher ceiling and would be contenders and/or champs faster if everything clicks.
Will The St Louis Cardinals repeat as world series champs??
marlinsHow many home runs did babe ruth hit as a pitcher?
Good question. I think it will be the Marlins. This is because of their young pitching talent. The Devil Rays are good and all, but I don't think that they can count on their pitching that well. I know with the signing of Al Reyes as their closer will definitely help them a lot, but the D- Rays still don't have enough relief help. Right now their relief record is 3-6, that's too many leads given away in the 7th and 8th innings. The Marlins pitching isn't much better, but they have hitters that they can count on to produce when the pitching is down. With now pitchers with an under 3.00 ERA, the Marlins will have trouble winning games, but with the support of their relief, with 6 out of 7 relief pitchers with a sub 4.00 ERA leading the way. Miguel Cabrera, Hanley Ramirez, and Josh Willingham leading the way, the Marlins have plenty of hitting to back up their pitching. The Devil Rays do have a good chance to be a decent team this year, one, because of their offense. (Upton, Iwamura, Crawford, and Wiggington) In the end it will be close, but I have the Marlins as the better team.More Questions & Answers...
