It may be too early in the season for even Steinbrenner to make a managerial change, but if the Yankees are not out of last place and within striking distance of Boston come June don't be surprised if Joe Torre gets the axe.they won't fire torrey, he is retiring this year. It isn'e even his fault, teams have ups and downs. besides the yankees usually are a little rough in the early season, they heat up in mid-season. Torre is the best coach in the MLB. He motivates players and is highly respected by the players. You could question the need to fire many coaches. For instance the Red Sox coach- remember when he basically lost the playoffs game for the Red Sox when he left Martinez in pitching when he had pitched so much? Torre will be staying, which I am happy to say!

Some of you idiots have no FREAKING idea what you are talking about regarding Joe Torre. First who in the hell is going to replace him? Don Mattingly? And is he going to heal up the injured pitching rotation? Cure the mediocre bull pen? Unfortunately if I am Torre I am scratching my head thinking why didn't Brian Cashman do ANYTHING in the off season. If i am Torre I am also thinking what the hell do they expect me to do with this mess.The same thing that I did 2 years ago when Wang was a rookie ? I don't think he will get fired. As a former MLB player (sorry I can't remember his name) stated last night "It's not Torre's fault some of his players are injured. He has no control of that situation." Let's see what happens when the injured players come back before firing Torre. If a majority of the injured players come back and the Yankees don't do any better then yes Torre should be fired.What is meant by a 'no hitter'?
yeah its time. It's not Torres fault that the teams injured, but how much of the same thing every year is steinbrenner going to take. Steinbrenner wants to win and that hasn't happened "recently" with Torre even though he consistently has the best team on paper every year.Should Canada have more baseball teams?
