Baseball Trading?
Question:Do you think that player trades hurt teams overall chances or balance them out to make it fair for everyone?
Answers:
John Kruk behind a desk or John Kruk in the box?
It depends on who was traded. If your team gets Albert Pujols, than it will help but if your team gets Barry Bonds, that would hurt.Well you make a valid point and people would presume teams like the Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs, etc. that have the money to afford guys' cap space they are paying for are being talked about here. The only unfortunate problem is, is that not all teams get the same payroll. Steinbrenner can afford all this money the Yanks dish out but your teams like the Florida Marlins will rarely trade for guys unless they are getting money along with it because they could never afford these guys' salaries. So while trading does benefit some teams, it defintely wides the talent level between teams because those teams I mentioned before, the Yanks/BoSox/Cubs/etc. will keep on and keep on spending while lower salary teams can only make 1 serious move come the trade deadline. So you make a good point but there is nothing to do about it. To answer your original question, it definately hurts every team, well except the team receiving the marquee player, because they can't make those kinds of moves so that is why the Yanks keep getting on better and better (and still find ways to lose in the playoffs! Haha yanks suck...)
