Will the San Diego Padres get the NL West title this year?

Defensively the choice is hands down Brooks Robinson of the O's with Rolen a distant second. Offensively I'd give it to Mike Schmidt or George Brett. Overall I'd say Schmidt is the best ever, but if A-rod stays at third for the rest of his career he will probably wind up being better. That is if he can ever figure out his footwork at the hot corner...

Offensively, I'll take Mike Schmidt, the home run and RBI leader at the position. Defensively, without a doubt it's Brooks Robinson. However, given that Schmidt was not only a world series winning outstanding offensive performer, but was also a standout defensive player in his own right, having won several gold glove awards during his time, I'd take Schmidt as the overall best 3rd baseman in baseball history.
