The lineups are about even, but the Red Sox have a much stronger starting rotation. They have a better bullpen and becuase their starters go 6, 7,8 innings each outing, their bullpen is well rested. Yankee starters can't even get out of the 5th, their bullpen is weaker to begin with, and their bullpen is already exhausted.To date, who has pitched the only no-hitter in Toronto Blue Jays history?
The season has only just started but yes,so far the have proved to be better.The Yankees have injurys,and players not preforming the way they normally do.The Red Sox on the other hand ,have almost everything clicking.Expect a close race down to the finish,watch out for the Blue Jays too.They finished in 2nd last year contrary to popular belief.They have better pitching, particularly their bullpen which is currently the best IN THE LEAGUE.

Red Sox so much better? The Yankees have a depleted pitching staff. they've had to call up 2 rookies to start. Chase Wright was the one who gave up the 4 homeruns back-back at Fenway.Yeah it was a record, but it was against a minor league pitcher at best. Sox will be in familar territory by years end, look up at the yankees as usual.

Right now they are because they have good pitching where the Yankees have almost all of their starting rotation on the disabled list. Even when they all return, however, the Red Sox are the better team. I agree. Go Sox!!Chow!!

The red sox have a few really good batters, a handful of good fieldsmen, and some superb pitching. They have a few good players for every position. They have everything covered. THAT is how you win a ball game.

Pitching usually wins games more then bats.The Yanks found that out when they lost a world series to Curt Shilling and Randy Johnson in their primes to the offensively pathetic Diamondbacks.The Yankees used to have a mix of good bats and pitchers but have gone the route of thinking they can just slug their way to championships and throw anyone on the mound with the all star lineup of batters.Their bats keep getting better while their pitching keeps getting worse.Its finally caught up to them.Red Sox on the other hand have gone the other way.They keep two major run producers in Ramirez and ortiz and try to surround them with serviceable guys and spend the rest on pitching.With the staff they got right now they are going to be tough to beat.
The Yankees won't rebound until they fire Cashman cause he's the one making the roster changes and putting importance on hitting over pitching.As a Red Sox fan I hope they keep that moron cause a smart GM with that much money to spend would be scary.
