Question:By most colorful, I mean a team that didn't lose gracefully. Rather, they would lose kicking and screaming with lots of scandals/controversey.

Late 70's Yankees probably take the cake. From Billy Martin fighting with Reggie in the dougout on national tv, to Martin fighting with Steinbrenner and getting fired 5 times, to Martin fighting with a marshmallow salesman in a bar, to Steinbrenner beating up someone in an elevator, to Reggie vs Munson, to Cliff Johnson breaking Goose Gosages thumb in a fight in the shower and knocking the team out of playoff contention in 79 and Craig Nettles making sardonic comments about it all along the way. The most colorful had to be the A's from the early 70s. They were champs, but when they lost, that was a completely different story. They would fight each other in the clubhouse, stage player revolts against the owner, and even tried walking out when the owner fired a player. The owner, Charles O. Finley was not innoccent himself. He fined players for siding with the manager when he was fired after a World Series win. He also attempted to fire a player during a World Series so he could bring in another player.The worst team was the 1962 Mets. They went 40-120, but they had colorful characters in a good way. Starting with the manager Casey Stengel, down to "Marvelous" Marv Thornberry. They took their losing in stride, and had fun on the field, and with the press.
