Do you think the Astros should get rid of Brad Lidge?
Question:He is still blowing save opputunitys
Answers:
I need stats or records broken by Roger Marris NY Yankees?
yes i certainly do. His psychy is all messed up and its screwing up his game. I don't think he's worth much and he's a total liability to the team. Time to get rid of him. He's never been the same after what Pujols did to him.
What Happened to Bud Smith from the Cardinals?
OMG yes. For three seasons he has not lived up to the title of 'lights out Lidge'. My friends and I say he must have something on Phil Garner for him not being sent to the minors. What is the best baseball team?
I think a change of scenery would help him a lot. He has nasty stuff. He should pitch somewhere where there's less pressure on him. He needs confidence at this point.Does Kyle farnsworth still play with the yankees?
It's location. He still has a live arm with great stuff. He can be fixed.Yes, he had one good year and they though he would be great forever.
What do people think about bamboo baseball bats?
yes most def. he is old and cant throw in relief anymore, he always chokes bad!and his worst enemy is albert pujols, that why the astros lost to the cardinals in the playoffs. and he is also scared of barry bonds( the next homerun king)
Russell Martin's amount of stolen bases?
As soon as they let him go he will be good again. Setting is everything. How many wins did cy young have?
Not yet. Give him a chance to work out whatever's going on upstairs. Besides, the NL Central is very well balanced, top-to-bottom. For crying out loud, the Cards won it last year with a mere 83 wins, fewest ever for a team winning a World Series in a 162-game or even a 154-game season. It might only take 85 wins to win the Division again, with the Cards' and Reds' injuries, the Brewers looking like they're a year away from serious contention, the Cubs being up to their necks in problems (so what else is new?) and the Pirates being in perpetual rebuilding mode. The Astros can afford to wait with Lidge.Maybe the best thing to do is to put him in non-save situations, i.e. leading by more than four runs. Less pressure. Let him know that you're trusting him, that you know he was great before, that he can do it again. I'm against "babying" pitchers, but I'm also against panicking when it's someone as good as Lidge was. (Then again, I'm a Yankee fan, and I constantly want to string up Kyle Farnsworth and Scott Proctor, but then, they've never even been as good as Lidge was prior to his Pujols gopher ball.)
Who will win the world series?
Not get rid of...move him to long relief, or setup man. There would be less pressure on him, and that will give him his confidence back.Once Clemens joins NYY, who will have a better rotation -- Sox or Yanks?
Yes, and send him to the Cardinals. That way he'd have Albert Pujols on his team instead of having to pitch against him! What is the fifth round draft rule for baseball players?
He has to much talent to get rid of him and he doesn't have a lot of trade stock while he's struggling. The Astros are stuck with him.No its early in the Season Wait until July to throw him out of town.
NO! He still has wicked stuff (mid to upper 90s fastball and nasty slider), meaning he will be able to get guys out. Yes, it seems he still hasn't completely recovered his old form, but with his stuff, there is no reason to think why he won't be able to. Besides, who would take over the closing duties? Honestly, do you think Dan Wheeler is that much better than Lidge. Keep him, at least til close to the break. If he still sucks, then maybe consider moving him, but definitely not now.
Who is the best baseball player in the game today?
I think they should do one of two things:1) Pull him into the manager's office, express complete confidence in him... tell him that the team goes as far as he can take them, and that's that... and try to build his confidence back up...
OR
2) Trade him elsewhere, try to get back some value while he's still got some. Because he's sinking fast.
