When will the national baseball media recoginze the Rockies' starting pitching as decent?
Question:The Rockies' starting pitching this year has been incredible. But this is a non-story apparantly. Yesterday the Rockies beat the Dodgers but all anyone has to talk about is that the Dodgers lost and that Schmidt was injured. It's not even a serious injury. I watched Baseball Tonight last night, and there was not a single highlight from that game that wasn't Dodger focussed. Anyway now this is more of a rant than a question.

What time does the Boston Red Sox Ticket office start selling tickets on the day of the game?
so far, the rockies have been pretty good, but they seem to start out good, then choke!! as the season goes on! this year will be no exception, and your sorry, pathetic rockies will finish last again, with team era or over 5.00!! don't get your sorry hopes up this year, either! they are a sad, sorry franchise! Is there a way to listen to MLB games online for FREE?
If the Rockies' pitching stays going well through May, look for lots of recognition. The media needs time to adjust its preconceived notions. They always get it right, though it is usually after the season when they explain what happen. Explaining what happened they can do correctly almost 95% of the time. Telling what will happen they do correctly about 5%. That totals 100%, right? ;-oGood place for softball uniform team patches?
The national media may pick up on the Rockies as a "surprise" team if they have a lagitament winning record by the All-Star break, at that point it will be "Can the Rockies be contenders down the stretch?"All I can say is if you are watching Basball-Tonight to try and find highlights and conversation about your team, there's no garauntee you'll be satisfied. You might be satisfied if you want to catch up on all of the major stories in baseball, but not if you want specific info on highlights or the current state of the team you root for.
I totally missed the Sunday game where the Orioles beat the Yankees (and took 2 of 3 in the series despite all of the publicity of Arod's walk-off grandslam), and I tuned into baseball tonight figuring that at some point they would replay the highlights of the games they covered at the top of the hour. Especially with the Yankees, I had no such luck.
The only thing I saw from that game was a highlight on "WebJems" with Nick Markakis making a diving catch in the outfield.
Who were the outfielders on the last two Florida Marlins championship teams?
Ummm... its only like the 8th game of the season? They have not even gone thru the starting rotation twice yet.Maybe if they make it to the all star break with a .500 record. Lol. Doubtful.
Probably Never. Nothing against the Rockies though... The media won't give much recognition to anybody off the East Coast. The Pacific Coast will get a little love, but the middle is pretty much left hanging.
Rumor is they're about to acknowledge that the Cards won the WS last year. Maybe after that they'll look into the Rockies pitching.
Ok but seriously. They're going to be slow on it, because of the reputation at Coors Field. The humidor seems to have leveled things out a little bit, but everybody is still a bit hesitant. They don't want to talk somebody up too much and then see them get rocked, so they'll ease into it.
Their stadium is a hitter's park, so they will have to be outstanding to get any attention at all on the East-coast SPorts Network. Watch your local sports network instead, that's what I do, way too frustrating waiting an hour for 2 seconds of my team's coverage and 15 minutes of Yankees BS.
Well if youre not from the East Coast no one really cares about your team, im from Minnesota and the media cares less about the Twins, they would be happy if the only 2 teams in the league were Red Sox and Yankees, cause no other team really matters to them.
