Yankees radio broadcasters...the worst in the league?

Question:Is there anyone more ridiculous then these two yahoos? An a-bomb for arod, theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankees win, it is high, it is far, it is gone, real original. And was that Rosie O'Donnell announcing Clemens being in the booth Sunday?

Answers:

Who is the bigger boston legend?

John Sterling hasn't found his way out of Steinbrenner's back pocket since he took the job as Yankee broadcaster.

Wannabe-Pro Wrestling Promoter Suzyn Waldman sounds like fingernails on chalkboard. (I loved listening to Colin Cowherd as he alternated clips of Waldman and Ric Flair yesterday.)

Combined, they have very little knowledge of the game of baseball...as evidenced by the seemingly never-ending ways in which this game amazes them.

Instead, Yankee fans on their radio broadcast are treated to an endless stream of cliches and catch-phrases. Pitchers don't pitch, they "deal". Batters don't swing, they "cut on". And home runs are "high, far and gone".

Most common phrase during a Yankee radio broadcast..."Oh, what a (blank) by (blank)!" (It could be a play by Jeter or a pitch by Mussina...that's their idea of analysis.)

The Yankee radio problem is they have 2 play-by-play announcers and no analysts. Tell us why something happened instead of just telling us what happened along with some pointless story.

And enough of the home run catch phrases...

"Jorgie Juiced One"

"An A-Bomb By A-Rod"

"Bernie Went Boom"

"A Thrilla By Godzilla"

"Robbie Cano Don't Ya Know"

"De-rek Je-ter"

"The Giambino" (Aren't Yankee fans comforted by the high regard with which Sterling holds Babe Ruth in that we've had both The Giambino AND The Bam-Tino?)

What a shame that the noble profession of names like Jack Buck, Harry Carey, Ernie Harwell, Red Barber, Vin Scully and Curt Gowdy has come to this!

In baseball, what are put outs? then, anunassisted put out?

Announcers are all the same. They have to think of something stupid to say so they can get thier time on sportscenter. The old school announcers are always the best. R.I.P. Herb Carneal and Jack Buck!

This was a true story? What do u think of it?

Rosie O'Donnell? No, it was Suzyn Waldman.

What's up with the B-Jays?

I haven't listened to the Yankees on the radio, but I live near Pittsburgh and I can tell you that the Pittsburgh Pirates broadcasters (radio and tv) are pretty weak.

Who do you think will win the Homerun derby this year?

I think they are absolutely aweful. My problem as a Sox fan, though, is that I can't stop quoting Sterling's ridiculous quotes. I laugh about it. I can't help it. "An A-Bomb, from A-Rod"...that one always gets me...

How do you put your baseball cards in a binder so they are ready to sign?

I know that Suzie Waldman announcement was a joke. Even the ESPN analysts on Sportscenter could not contain their laughter.

Who holds the record for being hit in the face by the most balls?

Sterling is a joke. He often says that baseball stats are meaningless. But never elaborates on this ridiculous statement.

How do you become a major league batboy?

Your Rosie comment - made me fall over. Good call!

How about that crazy Yankee rally this afternoon?

Anything in the world > Rosie
