When is Brian Cashman going to realize that pitching wins ballgames?
Question:Ok, the Yanks are the biggest money team in baseball. So knowing that, why don't they get some dang pitchers? Their offense is putting up numbers. The Yankees put up 15 runs this week, but gave up 31 runs! That's putrid! It's ok to lose to Boston in April, but when you get consistantly gutted by Tamba Bay, year after year, that should hint something!
The Yankees GM, needs to realize the offense is nice, but you can't win without solid defense, and solid defense means you need good pitching! When the heck is Cashman going to wake up and turn the Yankees into the baseball Juggernaught every non-yankee fan loathes, and get some dang pitchers!?!?

Cashman knows that pitching helps. That's why he has acquired pitching prospects since Steinbrenner gave him full control last year.

It's ridiculous really. Even with Mussina,Wang and Pavano...those 3 are far from intimidating. The beauty is we all know damn well nobody is going to trade NYY any pitching. What do the Yankees have to offer? Nothing. And who wants to help NYY? Nobody. I know in alot of Yankee fans minds (fantasies) Cashman can trade Abreu for Johan Santana anytime he wants. But really...do you see this team getting better? No! Mussina is the best they have and he could easily be a .500 pitcher with a low 4 era...not impressive. It's over...this team had ZERO chemistry starting the year--and it's only going to get worst. Finger pointing, playing to save a managers job and pressing are the next items up for bid that spell even bigger disasters for the New York Yankees.
