he must pitch 5 innings to get the win. if he was only up 1-0, however, it's a good chance he wouldn't get the win because the other team would probably score at least 1 run and tie the game, and then whoever was pitching when they got the lead back would get the win.5

5 innings. My scoreboard will not post The Los Angeles Angels? It posts other teams.?
Well, I know five innings are the minimum for getting a victory, so this pitcher has to get the win, instead he left with runners in base and they made runs to the next pitcher. Then, the runs go to the account of the leaving pitcher.Sorry for my bad English, I'm practicing it!!

5 innings!
The box score shows how many pitches were for strikes and how many total.?
He would get the win, as long as they kept the lead.A Starter must pitch 5 innings for a decision; win or loss. However, if he is winning after 5 innings and leaves then the bullpin blows the lead and the game the ptcher that was on the mound that gave up the lead would get the loss. Then say another pitcher comes in, and they take the lead back and win the game, then that pitcher that was pitching when they got the lead would get the win.
Also, if a pitcher pitches 5 innings, and they are winning by 3 runs or less and pull him, then every pitcher that gets through innings after that will get a HOLD. The pitcher that comes in in the 9th inning with 3 runs or less lead, if he ends the game, will get a SAVE.
So a pitcher might have the lead after 5 innings, to quilify him for the win, however his bullpin might screw him over on getting it.

5 full innings.Who was the first Altoona Curve player to hit the Skyliner roller coaster?
A pitcher must pitch at least 5 to QUALIFY for the win... he need not be winning at that point...BUT, the game must be at least tied when he leaves the game...Let's say the home team starting pitcher leaves after the top of the 5th inning (pulled for a pinch hitter) with the score tied... Then, his team comes up to bat at the bottom of the inning and they score the go-ahead run. Then, they go on to win the game. The starting pitcher picks up the win.
However, if they do not score at the bottom of the inning (and the score remains tied), then he qualifies for a No Decision... which means, he doesn't get the win, but he doesn't get tagged with the loss either. It's the bullpen's game from that point.

Brian Shouse (Brewers reliever) picked up a win last night with two pitches. The starter could win with the five innings provided his team did not blow the lead and then come back and win, in which case it would be a reliever who got the winA pitcher must go at least five innings and be leading when he comes out and the bullpen cannon give up the lead at any point during the game. Lets say a pitcher finishes the bottom of the 5th inning and the game is tied. His team scores a run in the top of the 6th. A reliever comes in for him in the bottom of the 6th to start the inning, he would still get the win because technically he was still in the game when his team scored that run.
