Fenway Park is a very friendly place. Fans for other teams are either ignored or engaged. People sing Sweet Caroline during the middle of the 8th inning. The fans are knowledgeable. They don't need the scoreboard to start cheers or the wave. People do those things themselves. But let a Yankee fan show up, especially at a game not involving the Yankees and many Boston fans will let that person know that they are considered the fan of a criminal organization. Here's the test: Next time the Orioles (an Eastern Division rival) are in town, do you boo or cheer Kevin Millar? You cheer. He's like Santa Claus in a baseball uniform. Now the Yankees are in town. Do you cheer or boo Johnny Damon and Roger Clemens? We all know the answer. Let's face it. We have one personality for the Yankees and another for everyone else.
As someone who has been to Red Sox games in non-Boston and New York cities, I can understand why the home town fans dislike us. 10,000 Red Sox fans are louder than 33,000 Angel fans at a Red Sox game in Anaheim. When the Sox play the Padres in June and the split is 50/50, except for the Red Sox being up first, there will be no way to tell that the Red Sox are on the road. The same thing frequently happens in Tampa Bay and to a lesser extent in Baltimore and Toronto. Hateful--only to Yankees. Mean--only to Yankees. Loud, boorish and fanatic. Can't help it. I'm from Boston.

Hardest record to beat in baseball?

I am a Red Sox fan...and when Yankees fans start talkin trash, I say look at the standings...I think its safe to say Yankees fans are crying this year...

Does it make sense to fire a "conditioning coach" due to on field performances by the ball-players..?

From my travels around the country, Red Sox fans are generally the worst. Not all, but most that I have encountered. I live in New England, but will never go to another Red Sox game at Fenway, or anywhere else for that matter.

What are those nets called that you can pitch and hit into and where can I buy one in Canada?

The Yankees have made so many Red Sox fans cry in heartbreak from Babe Ruth to Bucky Dent to Aaron Boone.

There is just a passionate dislike for a team that casues you that much pain when you are a die hard Sox fan.

Mets fans feel the same way about the Braves as to Dodgers and Giants fans.

When a catcher doesn't catch the ball why does he give the ball to the offical only to receive a new ball?

Most of this hater talk comes from in-secure Yankee fans. They all have this Iotola, Superiority complex. It's rather annoying and exhaustive, actually (I'm sure you have noticed)

Equate it to "Small Man Syndrome" -- You know, those guys that are like 5' tall, 125 lbs that wear lots of Nascar gear and drive HUGE trucks to make up for their "short comings"?? -- No pun intended.

Same thing with Infantile Yankee fans. They have this complex that its not okay unless they win every year. Thank George Steinbrenner for breeding and influencing MILLIONS of people and making them insecure and neurotic.

What the hell is wrong with Albert Pujols, his slumps has lasted since openday is he going to bounce on of it?

I personally hate baseball, I'm sorry it may be un American but I do. I live in NY State see all sorts of comments made about teams and I have seen Red Sox fans taunting Yankee fans. The way I see it, if you can't take it, then don't dish it out. Its a game for Pete's sake. Besides the Red Sox are having a GREAT season, and jealous fans are the ones who make the mean comments.

No cheating, this is to test your knowledge.?

I don't remember us, having a biggest payroll in baseball and have failed to win a WS since 2001... I don't know where they get off calling us mean. Who cares, most yankee fans here and mature, and the ones that are immature to run their mouth off, should go touch themselves

Baseball betting?

I'm a Phillies fan but I have to say that Red Sox fans are the most ridiculous people in all of baseball. They have such a hatred for the Yankees and their fans, it almost borders on insanity. I suppose it has to do with always losing to the Yankees year after year. You'd think it would have improved since they won in 2004 but it seems to have gotten worse. I'm sure this doesn't pertain to every Boston fan but the ones that are hateful cast a shadow over all Boston fans and that's really not fair. I know a lot of Yankee fans and for the most part they just laugh it off. It seems they understand that's it's a game, nothing more. But Red Sox fans think it's life and death. That's pretty sad.

Red sox and the world series?

Every team has good supportive fans AND, unfortunately, fans that take it too far. I've been a Red Sox fan for many years and nothing aggravates me more than listening to fans of any team (esp. Yankees fans) that go on and on as if they personally had something to do with the teams success.

The problem is that there are probably more poor winners than poor losers and that is due to the acceptance of "trash talking." People don't know when to stop rubbing it in the opponent's face when they are winning or ahead. We could use a little more good sportsmanship all around (by both players and fans).

As for me personally, I feel that a great play is a great play no matter who makes it. Go Red Sox (but Yanks fans, keep supporting your team even if this doesn't turn out to be your day/week/season).

Who has the most homeruns in any USA league including old Negro League so don't say it's HANK AARON?

Not all Red Sox fans are like that as well as Not all Yankees fans. Some ruin it for all.
Yankees fans are accused of being rude and arrogant, I am neither. Some of my friends are Bosox fans and we're tight.

Is there any baseball teams in the american world series that never won a world series?

I love the red sox =-have been a fan for all most forty years and every time the sox are doing better than the yankees
their fans WHINE- when my son went to yankee stadium(he was 11) he was spit at ,cursed and had cigarettes thrown at him. of course he was dressed in full redsox garb. every sport
has its fanatics and I hope The Rocket turns out to be a DUD.

Is here a website predicting when Barry Bonds will break the home run record?

I'm sure you're a very nice person and all, but there are PLENTY of other people in the Red Sox fan nation that hate us Yankee fans. They seem to love to put the blame on us. They blame us for forcing Babe Ruth out of the team. They blame us for the Curse of the Bambino. They blame us when theygo through the 86 year drought. Next thing you know, they're gonna be blaming us for world hunger or something. It all started with Babe Ruth. And it's never going to end. Mostly, I guess it's because people started pointing fingers at the Yankees, and us fans tried to defend them, and ourselves. Now, nobody is going to listen to so-called "logic" at a baseball game. So we struck back. And now this entire cycle of rivalry and hate between Yankee fans and Red Sox fans is never going to end. We all love the game of baseball, but we also love our teams.

Yankees Love. <3
