Whats faster a baseball pitch or Cricket Fast Bowler ?
Question:Also how far apart are the Pitcher/Bowler to the batter respectively ? I'm in Australia and Baseball is only very small here, but we are Cricket World Champions. We also have an American Baseball Coach who works with our fielding team to sharpen their reaction times etc... seems to be working well !

Although many pitcher's are said to throw faster than that in baseball, I believe Nolan Ryan still is the fastest officially, at about the same speed as that Pakistani guy in cricket. Actually, according to the second link, Ryan's was clocked at 100.9 mph.
Now, considering that lots of people say guys like Zumaya throws harder than that, I think it's reasonable to say that there is a cricket bowler considered to bowl faster than the record. It seems they both can be thrown at about the same speed. Check out the chart in my first link, detailing what speeds a bowler reaches and how fast the pitch is considered, and you'll see it mirrors baseball.
Interesting, I'd have not guessed it to be true, but turns out they are almost identical.
I have listed the Los Angeles Angels in the Sport list and you do not list their games. Why?
baseballs are 100 mph dont think cricket gets that highThe fastest throwing baseball pitchers can throw over 100mph...I think that is 160km/h
ok, the pitcher is 60.5 ft away from th batter (18.44m) and his back foot is on a piece of rubber a little over 25 cm higher than where the batter stands.
