Who do you think is the all time best MANAGER in MLB?
No. He's one of the best closers to ever play the game. If you're worried about him hurting your averages in days to come, sit him on the bench for a while, and then start him after he nails down a couple of solid saves. Trust me, he'll get back on track - this is just a minor hiccup, don't overreact.Who oversees all drug testing in Major League Baseball?
absolutely not. mariano rivera is the best closer of all time and come the end of the season, will post numbers similar to his career averages. He is getting older and its taking him longer than usual to get things going. This is not the first time in the past 4 years that he has started the year poorly. Also, the yankees tend to win games by large margins when they do win, especially at the beginning of the season. Come summer, players become tired and the games tend to become a lot closer. Unless you have an option on the waiver wire who is going to put up 35+ closes, a sub 3 ERA, and a sub 1.25 WHIP, stick with what youve got. Will the Yankees bounce back and reclaim first by the end of the season?
no way...hes started out slow, but will come around...unless you can deal him in a trade for good value keep himHow many times did robinson cano bat second last year?
No. Try to trade him, you can always find someone in each league that puts too much value in closers. Will Roger Clemens come back to pitch for the astros again next year?
Rivera's not the all time saves leader, Trevor Hoffman of the Padres is. Its rare in any league to find a closer in free agents or waivers, and even rarer to find one of Rivera's caliber. Even the crappy ones get picked up, so as long as Rivera is a closer, keep him. Will the Red Sox win 117 games this season.?
I would. The guy is washed up.When was the last time the Indians won the world series??
Try to trade him first. People that don't really watch baseball, think big name, get him. Try to trade him for someone better! How many world series has the royals won?
no. he will get on sooner or laterWhere can I find the shorter baseball pants...the old school kind?
Only if I was in your league...I think you may be kicking yourself if you do. Maybe you can trade him once he gets a few saves under his belt, my advice is to find a yankee fan that will over pay for him!!
How fast does a line drive travel?
noooooooooooooooooooooooIs Bob Wickman going to be the Closer when he returns to the Braves?
It would be easy to drop him given what has happened to the Yankess pitching rotation. But remember, he is the all time saves leader in MLB history and it's way too early to give up on him, the Yankees pitching staff or the Yankees. And I'm not even a Yankees fan...but as I said it's way too early, just be patient, he will turn it around.
A Brewers fan!
I would not drop him. At worst M. Rivera will net you something good in a trade. Rivera while being the full time closer worst save season was 2002 (28 saves), that season being injured as well. Between 1997-2006 the next lowest total was 34 saves. Also the last two seasons Mariano started out slow as well but posted ERA's of 1.38 and 1.80
with 43 and 34 saves as well. I would say this is a slow start and nothing more. He'll get his at least 35 saves and ERA will be in less than 3.00 before the year is out.
