Has a World Series Winner ever been no hit during that same regular season?
Trade for pitching? Why the Mets are in the top 5 for e.r.a in the league. The only person i can see the mets trading is lastings milledge and aarond heilman. The mets still have pedro coming back in august and the free agent market will bring along good pitchers that the mets can grab. But right now no deals are necessary because the team is pitching great.
Beltran is getting up there in years. They may be able to get something for Delgado as well.
It really depends on where they have talent at the minor league level.
By the way...the mets suck!
Why is carlos zambrano struggling so far this year?
I dont think they need to trade anyone, they have a very young staff and staff that needs work but i think they just need to get their young pitchers pitching well. Their pitching coach is what they need to work on. If they could get someone like Mel Stottlemyre or something they would be in good shape. They have a very dynamic offense and need to sure up their pitching staff but i dont think any moves are in order, just quality starts.
Will the brewers make the playoffs?
I'm not sure but they need someone to hold over untill Hernandez and Pedro get back. The rotation is a problem.delgado
Why are the Mets soooo much better than the Yankees, and forget the 26 World championships.?
Get rid of these men for pitching.1. Alou
2. Delgado
3. Pedro Martinez (I know he is a pitcher but one ace pitcher for two solid pitchers works)
4.Beltran
5. Glavine
Don't Give up
1. Wright
2. Reyes
3. Any other starter
1927 Yankees vs. the 2006 WBC Japanese baseball team?
They're actually putting up a good fight as is. My suggestion would be to wait until Pedro Martinez gets back and then make an accurate assessment then. If it gets neccessary to make a trade look at trading LoDuca, Glavine, or Alou. Why is the score keeper on SNY always delayed or incorrect?
I'd be frightened if these answers came from members of the Mets organization. They'd be complete idiots to trade a star like Beltran because he's too old @30. The Mets have some good young arms, enough to compete for the NL East title. When Hernandez and Pedro get back, they should be fine. If a top pitcher became available near the deadline, I think they should consider moving Milledge. I would hate to see one of their top prospects go, but they're strong in the OF and no one's gonna accept Green or Alou for a solid pitcher. Plus the Mets have some other solid prospects who can play OF. Mainly Fernando Martinez and Carlos Gomez. However, if they could somehow get away with trading a vet like Green or Alou for pitching, great. Most teams will want young talent though. And the Mets will want that veteran leadership around if they make another playoff run. They should have traded Lastings Milledge when they had the chance. Now he's hurt and nobody wants him.
They wont trade Wright or Reyes... and the only other appealing players that they have are probably Phil Humber and Mike Pelfrey... and the way Pelfrey's pitched, his value is decreasing.
