Will Giants phenom Tim Lincecum be a factor this year?

What baseball team was the only one to lose after being up 3 games to none in the playoffs?

I expect Lincecum to be a minor factor this year and make a fuller impact next year. What you saw against the Phillies is typical of a young pitcher--his command was quite off, and he didn't effectively throw either his curveball or change-up. When Lincecum was dominant in spring training, he kept all of his pitches low in the strike zone. I think you saw that, against Philadelphia, his pitches were up in the zone. And while Joe Morgan claims that Lincecum can be successful up in the zone, he's much more effective when he's consistently down in the zone.

The issue is whether spending the year at Fresno will be helpful to Lincecum, given how he has dominated the league down there. Nevertheless, Lincecum has been wild at times in the minors, so there isn't much harm in letting him work on his off-speed pitches and gain better command over his fastball while limiting his workload.

Perhaps the biggest issue is simply that the Giants' starting staff has been quite effective this year--surprisingly so. Matt Morris, Noah Lowry and Russ Ortiz (until his recent injury) have all been quite solid and were the major reason for their 8-game winning streak. If they all stay healthy (after Ortiz gets back), expect Lincecum to continue to work on his consistency in AAA until a certain September call-up.

Did michael jordan ever have an official major league at bat?

We will see how he does over his next few starts. Too early to tell yet.

How good can Josh Hamilton of the Cincinnati Reds be?

I do believe he will be a factor, but it is way to early to tell how much of one. He projects to be a #1 or 2 starter, but most young pitchers go through some growing pains.

Is the Rawlings Gold Glove a good glove?

Yes, his stuff is very very very good. His first start was an abbheration, and he was definitilty nervous, i mean it was on ESPN. He has very good control so that should not be an issue. She should definitly be a factor whether it is in the rotation or in the bullpen.
