John Garfield "Toby" Bailey (born November 19, 1975 in Los Angeles, California, United States) had a brief career with the Lakes and Phoenix Suns. After his NBA career, Bailey moved on to play in Europe. He played in Greece with Panionios, Aris Thessaloniki, AEK Athens BC, and Filattice Imola.In 2006-7, he played for Telindus BC Oostende in Belgium, but was limited to just 5 games, in which he averaged 5 points and 2 rebounds per game. Bailey's productivity in Belgium was limited by injuries, including a fairly significant back injury.
Bailey left Belgium to play briefly for Beijing Aoshen of the American Basketball Association. The team is Chinese-owned but plays their home games on the campus of Azusa Pacific University in southern California.
About a month ago, Bailey was signed by the Santa Barbara Breakers of the International Basketball League. The IBL is a third-year semi-pro basketball league with teams in 23 cities. He is joined there by Samaki Walker, another former NBA player.
