Well, I'm sure lots of things would make the game easier. But making it easier while still being fair, I don't know that there is anything.I think there are a few things you could do, such as computer strike zones, or cameras on the foul poles, but those aren't really necessarily "inventions". How about inventing a test that could catch all performance enhancing drugs?

None, why make it easier, I love the game but it is one of the easiest going games around, look at guys like John Kruk, Kent Hrbek, Tony Gwynn, and David Wells, all good to great players and All Stars each one of them was not in the best shape and it did not stop them from being Gold Glovers, World Champions, All Stars, batting champs etc. except for a few players no baseball player is extremely outsized like football and basketball players if you saw George Brett, Mike Schmidt, Gary Gaetti, Carlton Fisk, Justin Morneau, Eric Chavez, or almost any baseball player walking down the street in their prime unless you knew who they were they would not make a big impression on you. Maybe they would be in a little better shape than most men their age but they would not be huge say 6 feet 6 inches 280 pounds or better they would look pretty average, and all these players at one time or another were or are considered one of the best at their particular position. baseball is a very hard sport to master but to make some invention to make it easier, including the ridiculous notion of a sensor for balls and strikes. the umpire has been an integral part of every game and they do make mistakes but they also do a darn good job, would be folly if something comes along naturally so be it but do not force the issueIs the only Toronto Blue Jay to win the American League MVP award?

A couple of years ago in ESPN the magazine, they had an article about a special kind of contacts that made the color red more excentric. Brian Roberts(BAL) and players on the University of Miami's baseball team tested the contacts and most said they liked them. The color red standing out led to seeing the seems on the baseball better which inturn made seeing curveballs, changeups, and other pitches easier to see and hit. Here's a possible idea: people always say to have a straight swing, so why not invent something to help that. Maybe make something that slips onto the bat and goes around the waist for tension if they start making a "bad" swing. It would need some way to adjust to different players' reach, but it might be good for helping making a smooth, clean swing.
